Chapter 10: Dokkan? + Training [short due to writers block]

     Shona looks up at Zuko "What the fuck is Dokkan?" 

     Zuko responds and says "it's a type of ancient magic that is banned in many places, Japan is one of the few countries that allow its use like America, South Korea, Germany, Russia, and Brazil"

     "Damn so I gotta be careful then huh?"

     "It's not that easy Shona, it is a complicated type of magic that consumes an insane amount of mana" Zuko snaps his fingers and they both teleport into a gym far below the school in the island

     "This is where I'll be forcing you to learn it in under a day, your duel is tomorrow, so chop chop we have some work to do"

     Shona sighs as he stands up and stretches as he gets ready.

     "First what we have to do is focus your mana into your hand, this doesn't require a magic circle, Infact ancient magic doesn't use magic circles that often" 

     Shona does as Zuko tells him to do and lighting forms around his hand, Zuko looks surprised because it shouldn't be that easy for someone who has never used magic to be able to do that without a magic circle. But then Zuko realizes something, Shona's part of 'that' bloodline so their technique passed down to him since he's the last, the technique to- 

     Before Zuko can finish his thoughts a large field of lighting magic is around Shona's hand and Zuko the continues "think of a bow like shape and try to form the magic into it"

     The whole room turns into a hue of blue that the lighting is but then the lighting explodes with a loud bang and a flash of white like a flash bang. Shona's hand has a couple of burn marks on it. It takes a moment for him to process the pain then he starts shaking his hand in pain

     "I figured that might happen, it is ancient magic after all, suck it up you damn brat." Zuko says

     Shona, still shaking his hand, replies "Did your hand just explode? No? Then you can't talk" Shona sighs as he tries again but the same thing happens.

     "Ow! Fuck!" It has been several hours and it's around 6pm Shona is sticking his hand in cold water as Zuko brings him some food for his dinner. "Not hungry Zuko"

     "It's harder to use magic in a empty stomach, plus the amount of mana you've been using has been decreasing which is why it keeps failing, Dumbass" Zuko says as he hands Shona some sushi and Yakitori (it's a type of chicken on a skewer) with some water, Shona chugs the water and start to eat some of the sushi.

     "Thanks Zuko"

     "Other kids are gonna kill you, everyone called me headmaster or headmaster Zuko, but you just called me Zuko, even though we aren't close"

     "My parents died before I could even remember, so I lived on the streets most of my life, no one would adopt me because of my supposed lack of magic, but you took me in anyways, so I see you as like an older sibling" Shona says as he finishes the sushi and hands the Yakitori to Zuko, "You gotta be hungry too right?"

     "Damnit kid, you're gonna make me cry"

     "shut it already" Shona stands up and starts trying to form the lightning into a bow shape. The room lights up because of the lightning, leaving a staticy feeling in the air, instead of him being tense and trying to force it, Shona, for once, actually tried to be calm and let it form itself 

     After 5 minutes it still hasn't exploded yet, it usually explodes after 30 seconds, then, thankfully. The shape of a bow is being made into his hand. When it's finished it looks like a medieval bow.

     "I did it! FUCK YEAH!"

     "That's one half of the training, now you gotta learn how to control it and summon it faster, the easy part it's done"

     "Fuck yo-"

     Zuko cuts him off and brings out a whiteboard drawing chibi images of Shona "this is you, when you are able to summon the bow correctly fastly" then he draws a dead Shona "this is you if it takes five minutes again, it's Also you if you can't control the arrows"

     "So how do I control it"

     "That's the hard part, you have so much mana you have to be more careful then the average person using it. Now let how of it, the bow should disappear and I want you to summon it again, and again, until it at most takes 15 seconds"

     The time was now 9pm. Shona had made the time to summon it down to a minute Zuko looked down at his watch and said.

     "Good enough, now we gotta practice on the damage, pull the string back and a arrow should appear on it, don't put too much mana, remember to relax"

     Shona does as Zuko says and he pulls back and releases the string the arrow flies and lands a bullseye, but the entire target is destroyed, but the surrounding area isn't, it's good enough for now.

     "Yeah that's good enough as well, head to bed Shona you got a massive fight tomorrow, also one thing middle school didn't teach ya, you can use magic that isn't your affinity, it's just hard to learn" Z

uko touches Shona's shoulder and teleports him to his dorm.
