Beomgyu started university with a truckload of baggage. There was one thing he had learned by now though — people, especially the popular ones, were never who they seemed to be. The more they were adored, the more they strayed from their true selves, and the easier it seemed for them to abandon others. After having been left behind a few too many times, he was set on keeping his distance until Yeonjun crashed into his life like a character ripped from a fairytale.

On the surface, Yeonjun was every bit the storybook prince, flawless and admired. Beomgyu, however, wasn't buying the narrative he was being sold. He knew there had to be a real version hidden beneath that carefully constructed persona — and he knew better than to get close enough to discover what that reality entailed.

It was a good plan in theory, wasn't it? Yet before he even had the chance to realize it, Beomgyu was already too far gone, too far lost in the storm that was Choi Yeonjun.

PLEASE READ

hello! just wanted to add a quick disclaimer before we get into the story.

first off, another reminder that this fanfic will have a lot of heavy angst, strong language and contain sensitive topics that might not be suitable for every reader. yeonjun & soobin are both around a year older than beomgyu and taehyun in this story.

just to add this as well, despite this being a rpf that contains real people ships, it doesn't mean that i ship the members seriously. this is just a fanfiction that's using txt's members as characters and was inspired by their newest title track 'deja vu' mv and lyrics, aswell as the concept photos. i'll say it one more time: this is fiction. please treat it as such and don't apply this (and for that matter any) fictional story to the real people that the members of txt are. don't forget to differentiate these two things.

lastly, this story might get pretty long, i'm not sure how it'll turn out as of now but it will very much be a slow burn. this is my first time actually committing to a story and i hope my motivation will keep up with me. it is very dear to my heart since a lot of parts are based on my personal experiences and struggles. feel free to leave constructive criticism about stuff like my writing, pacing, etc. or just any thoughts/opinions!! <3 i'd love to hear it

that's it for now, thank you for considering my story and let's go!
