chapter 6? hailey?

Sean's pov

We came into the pink room and caught Hailey looking at microphones.

I was shocked to see her, no one knows about this place except for me and Jake. How did Hailey get here? Did she saw me go in? Or maybe she saw Jake? Wait, Jake!

I looked behind me and saw Jake slowly backing away towards the door. He was walking backwards almost seems like he was moonwalking. Though, Michael Jackson was a good dancer and singer. I wonder why he died before I was born. I would love to meet him.

I shake my head out of that thought.
Out of topic, Sean! Focus.

"Psst, Jake! What are you doing? " I whisper-screamed at him.

He shook his head quickly and continued moonwalking. Well almost anyway-not exactly like it. Though I really wouldnt be surprised if he randomly sang 'smooth criminal' or 'Billie Jean'.

Jake is a great singer anyway.

Focus, Sean!

Jake finally reached the wall and since he wasn't actually seeing where he was going, he bumped into the wall and hit his head.

"Shit- ".

Hailey turned around when she heard the sound. She blinked at us many times for about a minute. An unfamiliar silence creeped around us. Jake knew he got caught so he immediately slumped to the ground and held his head in his hands.

I looked back between Hailey and Jake. Seeing who would speak first. Or am I supposed to speak first?

...

Nope. No way am I starting a conversation. If I could walk out the door right now I would. Or maybe I can? Nah, both of them would notice.

Well at least this is better than Jake moonwalking and singing 'Billie Jean'.

That would have been embarrassing.

Yeah. I'm going for it.

" uh- do you guys wanna talk alone?
Yeah I think. I'll just go-"

"No! Wait-uh just stay here sorry I don't mean to come in, Sean, I just want to see what's inside this room. I've never seen it before and never notice it. So it's alright I 'll leave.

Well uh- bye". She waved at me while she ran off towards the door. Which Jake was laying right beside it.

She looked at him and frowned as if she felt bad for him or disappointed at him-i don't know I can never tell. She shook her head and went out the room.

Jake sighed in relief once she was gone.

" somehow she's not mad at me" he said as he lowered his hands from his face.

"She not mad because she feel kinda bad for you. She doesn't actually understand it but when she sees your eyebags and she feels bad. And she wants to talk to you honestly but she's not ready yet. So please relax. "

I said to him and walked to him and gave him a hand so I could pull him up.

He accepted it and was pulled up by me. Well- at least I didn't moonwalk towards him-

"What song do you wanna sing? " I said trying to bring his hopes back up.

It worked! Though I am disappointed that there's no Michael Jackson involved. Would love to see that moonwalk.

Focus. Sean. This is about Jake's happiness. Not your music taste!

I calmed my mind down and went to check on the microphone and my laptop to put in the track.

"Alright ready, Jake? "

"Ready! "

"Uh Sean? This is not the right track".

Huh oh wait whoops. I quickly turned 'smooth criminal' off. I didn't mean to do that.

" sorry. K this should be the right one"

... *

After school, Jake's pov

School is finished. Time to get home.i have to check my calendar and mark out a day. Am I still going for it? Maybe. I'll have to see how it goes.

I reached home and greeted mom from the living room. She was in the kitchen, cooking.

"Are you gonna come and eat with us, jake? ".

Ok so we going there.

" I'll eat with you guys. " I said and brought my two lips up for a smile. She smiled back at me. I nodded at her and went to my room.

I opened the door and the light from outside soaked in the room. I turned on the light. But it flickered for awhile before it turned off immediately.

Oh. My light. I haven't turned it on for so long that I didn't realise it was broken. I went to the storeroom and found the new lightbulb, went straight back to fix my light.

I took a ladder from the corner and placed it under the light that broken and started taking out the light bulb.

I felt a slight shake at the ladder all of a sudden.

What the-

"Woah".

I fell down immediately from the ladder. And heard giggles after giggles.

" Milo?are you crazy! "I screamed at him. He laughed even harder and went to on the lampost at the side.

He laughed hysterically. I stood up and faced him angrily.

" oh you are gonna get it! ". I said angrily as I chased him around the room.
