Lady Aphrodite has sent out a quest.
AMARA STIRLING
Confusion settled into my brain. A quest?
“But sir, what does that have to do with me?” I said, breaking the silence.
“Well child, it seems that the Lady has requested the two of you to complete this journey.”
“But why her?” Silena finally spoke. “She's just a daughter of Psyche.” I scoffed in annoyance, just a daughter of Psyche?
“Now what is that supposed to mean?” Chiron quickly interjected. “Now ladies, let's not get off topic here.”
“What exactly is this quest?” Silena asked, making me wonder why that seemingly important question had left my mind. Chiron let out an airy laugh,
“Oh yes, I had almost forgotten, three nymphs have escaped Lady Aphrodites palace and she would like them back.” Well that shouldn't be too hard.
“Now I should be getting back to the training area, the Ares cabin is instructing today.” A grim look settled onto his face.
“You will pick your champion this afternoon after dinner, then leave in the morning, since there is already two of you, the both of you will have to agree.”
With that, he left.
SILENA BEAUREGARD
I get my mother requesting me for this quest but her? This has to be some sort of joke, an elaborate scheme to amuse the Gods.
“Who do you think should be our champion?” I'm suddenly reminded that the source of my annoyance is sitting next to me.
“My siblings are far too young to go on a quest, you can decide who will be our champion, within reason of course.” I honestly didn't care who accompanied us on our quest, I just wanted to leave.
I only looked up once she was almost out of the door, watching her leave I couldn't help but question my mother.
Why her?
AMARA STIRLING
The walk back to my cabin was a blur, I was too focused on the ridiculousness of it all, a quest? By Aphrodite of all goddesses. I hadn't been on a quest since I was twelve, when my mother had misplaced her wings four years ago, sending me all of the way to Georgia.
“Hey Amara, what was that about at breakfast.” My older brother, Dimitri was suddenly standing in front of me, blocking my way into the cabin.
“Lady Aphrodite sent out a quest, and she wants me and that cabin ten girl to complete it." I let out an exasperated sigh, throwing my hands up for good measure.
“But why you?”
“That's exactly what I want to know, Chiron didn't mention a reasoning, but I was hoping that you'd be our champion.”
“I mean of course I would, but would Silena be okay with that?”
“She's already told me that it was my decision, her siblings are too young.”
“So when do we leave?” I was hoping that he wouldn't ask that.
“Tommorow morning.”
“You're kidding.” I found myself being very grateful of the ‘no maiming’ rules.

The next morning came sooner than I would have hoped, the sound of chirping birds being a reminder of yesterdays events. I silently prayed that it was all some dream, a prank from my mother, maybe even Aprhodite herself.
“Get up, we leave in an hour.” Nope, not a prank
I looked over to see my brothers packed bag sitting upon his bed.
“Well don't just lay there, start packing. Don't you want to eat breakfast before we leave?”
I rolled out of bed with a dramatic groan, hearing the older boys treacherous laugh, accompanied with another familiar one.
Looking over, I'm met with the face of Rowan Haze, daughter of Demeter.
Ugh
“Come on Haze, you're supposed to be on my side.”
She let out a huff of amusement. “Being your best friend gives me certain privileges, like finding joy in your pain.” I rolled my eyes.
“Are you going to just stand there or are you going to help me pack?”
Ten minutes later my clothes had been packed, thrown into a bag. “You better miss me while you're away.” We were now sitting on my bed, everyone else had already made there way to breakfast.
“Oh I can't wait to get away from you Haze.”“Haha, very funny.” She said while rolling her eyes. “But seriously, I'm gonna miss having you around.”
“I know, I'm going to miss you too, now come here.” I pulled her into a quick hug.“Now go be with your girlfriend.”
My what?!
