!!!PRE NOTE!!! VERY IMPORTANT!!!

There will be wrong information in this. Mainly centred around plates, souls, hunters, cures and stuff like that. I can't remember all the info so most some will be made up. The first part of the chapter is based of memory so wrong things will happen.

Also, there are going to be MASSIVE spoilers. I'm reading the most recent translations of Part 2 of the novel and if you're waiting to stack chapters and want zero spoilers, turn away now.

I will get information mixed up since I don't remember how much Cale knew at that point. But here, whether cannon or not, he has a vague idea that someone was behind the sealed god but didn't think that they would become a problem and he didn't know of "hunters"

This is crossposted on Ao3 under the same username.

For those that haven't read Solo Leveling, (I doubt it) I will try to explain the details in the story so you can understand.

And I want to make this clear. I don't ship Cale with anyone. No one deserves him. Not even us.

Everything was over.

The White Shit was dead.

The God of Despair was sealed.

And Puzzle City didn't melt.

Although most of the dragons had fainted and some others, no one was in danger.

Cale watched Raon teleport away with the others. He looked over to Alberu and Mary.

As he was about to open his mouth, a deafening scream screamed through his head.

[CALE!]

Huh?

A bolt of pain suddenly struck through his head, travelling throughout his whole body. Cale stumbled slightly and clutched his head.

Why? I didn't do anything though? Why is this happening? He racked his brain for answers, deaf to the concerned yelling around him.

[C-Cale! Something is happening!] The Vitality of the Heart stuttered.

The pain increased and black dots invaded his vision. He reached out his hand and grabbed the nearby rubble.

[The power! It's rampaging! What do I do? I- I don't know... How do I stop... Why is this happening?] The crybaby rambled as indistinguishable words followed.

'Just tell me why I'm like this!' He yelled in his head as he sat down on the flattest rock he could find and grabbed his face in his hands.

Shit. It hurts like hell. The pain just keeps increasing. Cale started to pant and grabbed the torn area of his shirt where his scar is as a wave of pain washed over him. It's almost as painful as when I got the sky eating water.

[I don't know either!] he shrieked. [From what I can tell, the power of the world tree is fighting my power for control]

'Control?' He let out a groan and clenched his teeth. Cale scrunched his eyes up, as he swayed to the side, not feeling the hands that prevented him from falling.
