The staff only areas were such a contrast to the rest of the building. The only similarities are the checkered floors and the occasional wall decorations. The backstage areas were cold and void of life. The only sounds were mine and Williams. I followed close behind him, scared to get lost. He must just be the type of guy that gets off by flirting with every woman he comes into contact with. Why would you want someone like that working at a kids' place?

"Here we are." In front of us were two doors. One with a W and the other with an H. He opened his office door, and we made our way inside. It was unsurprisingly as industrial looking as the rest of the building. The room was well lit, and there was a metal desk in the center of the room decorated with a little name plate reading William A. Besides that, there was only a file cabinet with a coffee pot on top and a small grey sofa.

"Make yourself at home." he said, smiling at me. I went over and sat on the sofa as he went over to his desk. "So..." he started. "How do you know Henry?" he questioned while digging through one of his desk drawers. "He's a family friend.", "I've known him almost my whole life." William looked up at me, his stare was intimidating.

"I think i get it." What's that supposed to mean. "Henry has a girlfriend and didn't even tell me?" he teased. i scoffed in shock. "Henry is way too old for me." I replied instantly. "So, do you think I'm too old for you?" I just stared at him. "Why do you care?" I questioned. Why is even asking something like that. It's not like it matters.

"Not sure. I just know that I'm older than Henry, and i find it a bit disappointing you feel that way." There's no way he's older than Henry. If he is, it's not by much. Sure, William looks mature but not that old. "Henry's eight years older than me, Mr. Afton, you couldn't be a day older than him." I figured I should at least try to make a good impression since he's my boss. He laughed. "Please just call me William, and it is true I'm almost a year older than Henry." My mouth hung open in shock. He's almost thirty? He doesn't look a day over twenty-five.

Before I could reply, he pulled out a purple button-up matching the one he was wearing from the desk drawer and extended his hand out towards me. "There's a bathroom right outside. Why don't you go get changed so I can see how pretty purple is on you." I felt my face heating up again. I couldn't think of a reply. Why was he speaking to me this way? He's my boss, and he's a lot older than I am. I pushed those thoughts aside, reminding myself he's probably like this with every girl. I quickly grab the shirt from his hand and make my way out of the room.

I look at myself in the mirror. This actually looks better than I expected, and it fits really well. I exit the bathroom, making my way back to his office. I knock and slowly open the door.

"Wow, Y/n.",  I watched as he admired me from his desk. Twirling a pen in his hand. I couldn't help but smile at him. Even though he was a little strange, he was still very handsome. From his eyes to his perfect figure, and even the way he spoke gave me butterflies. "Come on now, love, give me a twirl." I scoffed and shook my head at him while letting out a laugh. "I am not twirling in my work uniform for you." I said, crossing my arms. He looked as if he was thinking for a second. "What if you were wearing a dress?". "Sure, why not." He smiled in response. "Then I'll buy you one."

We were interrupted by a knock on the door. Both of us looked towards its direction. The door swung open, and in came Henry carrying a box. He was accompanied by a girl probably around my age. "Hey, Y/n! This is Danielle. Danielle, this is Y/n." The girl smiled and waved at me, and I smiled back. She was really pretty. She had long, straight black hair, and her eyes were beautiful bright blue. "Danielle will be showing you around since me and William both have some paperwork to do." I was kind of disappointed that my conversation with William was cut short.

I stood up to greet Danielle. "Nice to meet you, Y/n! I'm so excited to have another girl working here, most of the staff here are lame." She smiled. "It's so nice to meet you too!." I was glad there was another girl my age. Maybe I could ask her if she thinks William is strange too. "Come on, let me show you around!" She motioned for me to follow her and made her way out of the room. "Good luck, Y/n." Henry said, making his way over to Williams desk. I waved goodbye and made my way out of the room, excited for my first day.

Danielle had just finished showing me around. I just met her, but it really felt like we hit it off. The whole time she was showing me around, we always found something to talk about. We were in the kitchen now, she was showing me where everything was kept. I thought now would be a good time to ask.

"Danielle, do you think William is a little weird?" I asked her. She looked confused. "What do you mean?" "I mean, does he usually come off really flirty." Her mouth hung open in shock. "I'm pretty sure William avoids talking to the employees. Why do you ask?" What? So, does he really not flirt with every girl? "Um, well, he just seemed really flirty, at least I thought so." She somehow looked even more shocked than before. "Oh my god, what did he say to you." "I mean, he seriously never talks to anyone." I didn't know what to say. Does he like me? He just met me. I explained what had happened this morning to her.

"Y/n!" She squealed. "I think Mr. Afton likes you." She teased. I rolled my eyes. There's no way. "That's impossible. Do you know how much older he is than me?" She just giggled. "Even if he is, there's something he likes about you." I couldn't help but smile. "I mean, he is hot, don't you think?" I asked. "Definitely." Me and Danielle both laughed as we made our way to clean the main lobby.
