Crush

I don't understand how people develop a crush the very first time they see someone they find attractive. No judgement of course I'm just curious you know?

"Have you guys ever had crushes? What does it feel?" I asked my friends directly in the middle of our snacks. They're reactions were pure gold. Some choked and some started to blush. "Why do you suddenly ask that?" Ari asked trying to sound nonchalant-which is not working by the way- "I'm just curious and don't you dare lie, I can read you guys like an open book" They looked at me curiously. "Well, for me I cannot really speak to it since I've never had a crush before" Ari spoke first.

I snorted What a lie. They looked at me curiously and raised they're eyeborows. "What are you guys looking at?" This is ridiculous, don't tell me they have not noticed it? "You know something we don't. Spill it dear" Jassy spoke with a hint of mischievousness in it.

Ari glared at me, though it did not faze me one bit. "You didn't tell them Ari?" Don't judge me, I'm in a mood to make some mischief. "I didn't tell you anything either. What the heck are you talking about?" Ari your smart but seriously, even this little thing, you can't figure it out? "Nevermind, don't speak I'd rather not listen to anything that comes out of your mouth." Well that was offending. "You can't dictate me Ari" I rolled my eyes. "Plus, I'm not going to listen to someone who is indenial about their feelings for a certain boyscout."

They looked shocked, especially Ari. "Yah! What the heck are you talking about?" Ari was blushing while the others are still shocked. "Seriously Ari? I think I know who you mean" Charlie said while Knight bursted out laughing. "Are you for real Ari? Just admit that you have a crush on him girl!" Ari was blushing it was a sight to behold honestly.

Aria and Jassy finally snapped out of their daze. "Ah is that why you always want to go upastairs Ari?" Jassy asked teasingly. "No wonder you always look at him secretly." Amaya added. We just bursted out laughing while Ari was still blushing.

Moments later we finally calmed down, the others finally desided to answer my question. "I once had a crush during my elementary days but I barely even remeber why I liked him" Amaya voiced out. "That sounds rude Maya but true, I also had this silly crush on some random boy I saw in my elementary days. I was still more immature back then." Seems like they experienced what it's like to have a crush. "Don't tell me you have never had a crush before Ashley." Knight concluded.

"Ah, well I was focused on my academics back then much like I am now. I never really had time for things like crushes or whatsoever" They know how serious I am about my academics so they somehow understands it. "I'm telling your quite missing out" Charlie said. "That's fine, they never really interest me." And with that we continued our snacks.

" I know you don't just ask things out of blue dear, what's really on your mind hm?" Jassy said while we were in the library voice full of curiousity. "A penny for your thoughs Smarty?" Charlie asked voice full of worry. "There you go again with that silly nickname of yours Charlie" I snorted trying to compress laughter.

"We each have nicknames for you" Charlie shrugged. "Don't you dare change the topic Smarty." Charlie said with a stern voice. I tried to look at Jassy asking for help but seems like she's on Charlie's side.

"I just- I don't know ever since I saw him he really caught my attention. I was captivated by his eyes and since then I can't stop looking at him." I tried to be subtle about my actions but I know they noticed. "Are you developing a crush dear?" A crush? What now? They seem to notice my confused state and tried to elaborate more.

"You said that he caught your attention and that he hasn't left your mind ever since. Your also implying that you find his eyes alluring. That's an infatuation dear, which means our ever so loving Ashley whose only focused on acads finally managed to gain a crush on someone" Jassy explained briefly. I felt heat running up to my cheeks. This cannot absolutely happen. Absolutely not! This is horrible.

"Don't act like it's the end of the world Smarty. It's just a crush, an infatuation of some sort it'll just go away." Charlie tried to assure me. I hope he's right. "Don't worry, we won't tell the others if your uncomfortable." They always put me first, I'm thankful for them. "No, it's fine we will tell them before they actually find out theirselves. You know they sulk easily." They smiled, it gave me some sort of reassurance.
