Chapter 9

Fang swung his back over his shoulder as he pushed his chair onto the table before making his way out the door.

Some of the students in the school already left but some still stayed back for their club activity.

Fang on the other hand got to go home as the basketball team didn't have any practice and the literature club was locked for the day.

As Fang walked through the hallway he was met with Gempa standing in front of the locker as he put some stuff away "Hey Gempa" Fang greeted.

"hey, going home?" Gempa asked before shutting the door to his locker and locking it using a padlock, Fang nodded his head "Yeah, how about you?"

Gempa gave a sad smile as he let out a sigh "Unfortunately I have... things I need to get done before going home"

Fang can't help but feel sorry for the boy "Man being a student council president must be tough, huh? You really are cool"

Gempa scratched his cheek as he felt bashful upon receiving such praise, they continued to talk when a certain someone came across Fang's mind.

"what about Halilintar? Did he already go home?" Gempa thought for a few seconds as he put the strap of his backpack on his shoulder.

"I don't think he has any practice so I think he already going home, why?"

Fang shook his head "No reason" he said as he laughed it off but Gempa wasn't laughing as something caught his attention and his expression started to turn serious.

"Hey Fang, just wondering but how did you come and go to school?" fang tilted at Gempa's sudden question "Huh? I walked, why?"

Gempa was quiet for a second "Nothing in particular but... if you like why don't catch a ride, it kind of dangerous walking home all alone"

Fang didn't understand where the sudden concern was coming from but seeing that the boy did have a point and that his own mother said the same thing Fang just nodded his head "Yeah I'll do that next time"

Fang said his goodbyes before making his way to the exit or for a while Gempa just stood there with a worried look on his face "I have a bad feeling about this" he mumbled to himself

When Fang was out of the building, he saw a familiar boy that he was looking for making the turn out of the gate, Fang quickly sprinted his way to the gate but once he arrived there all he saw was the other student as Halilintar was nowhere in sight.

He raised an eyebrow out of confusion as he was sure it was Halilintar that he had seen a second ago so there was no way he had already when far even if Halilintar did make a run for it he should still be around.

"looking for someone are we~" Fang's skin jumped at the sudden voice and as he turned to the side his eyes were met with no one.

Fang looked at his surroundings to see who was just talking but no one was near the gate, now he started to feel more scared than he was before and the incident that happened in the bathroom did not help ease his mind.

He tightened his grip on the strap of his back before walking in a fast past it wasn't until he was far enough from school that Fang started to slow down but he still kept a lookout in case something decided to jump on him.

But so far nothing happened to him, Fang made a turn at the big alley that most people around the neighborhood used as a disposal site, there was a lot of rusty metal and bins lying around the alley.

Normally Fang would never walk using the alley unless he was in a hurry, which he is right now.

Fang was already close to home and all he needed to do was get out of the creepy alley and walk straight ahead but the moment he stepped into that alley, a sudden gust of wind immediately sent an alert in his head.
