Humble Beginnings: Isomara

The New Sun

Carmen patters across the yard, eagerly observing the mottled blue egg with rings of gold. Her continuous care for the eggs at the Daycare gives her a boost of energy each time she gets to take care of a new egg - thusly, she kneels down to condition the outer layer. She takes her time with the removal of dirt and bugs, careful with her large canines. Only a few licks were needed to keep the egg maintained, and Carmen was satisfied.
"Another job well done. Let us get you nice and warm." Carmen says as she protectively curls herself around the egg. Another day to rest up, Carmen thinks to herself.

Nightfall arrived, and Carmen blinks herself awake. Oops, she spent a little too long on the egg! Though no harm is done to the egg, her entire day had been wasted on a single egg. While it probably wasn't that big of a deal, she takes a look at the precious little one nestled neatly within her stomach and chest. Certainly seems like all was well.

"Its time to cover you up for now, little one." Carmen smiles and tucks additional straw and feathers over the top of the egg. Giving the egg one last nuzzle, Carmen excitedly turns off to take care of another nearby egg.
