Lunch soon ended, and it was time for the rest of their classes. Time flew by, and soon, those classes came to an end, and it was time for the group to part ways and go home. Kun and Doyoung walked home together as they had to go the same way. Once they reached Kun's house, they bid each other goodbye.
"Byebye, Doie! See you tomorrow. If you wanna come by, you can, and we can hang out. "
"Yeah bye Kun" said Doyoung with a soft smile unknowingly.
Doyoung started walking home in deep thought. Once he reached home, he could hear loud noises. Before he could even reach the door knob it was pushed in his face, and he stumbled back. He was too busy rubbing his nose to notice his mom screaming to call his brother and his father standing at the door frame. When he looked up, he realized what was going on. He wasn't surprised since this was something which happened often.
"Uh, what's going on?" He spoke out softly in case he angers his dad more than he already his. His father tends to take out his frustration and anger on whoever is in his sight.
"Honey, go upstairs in your room," spoke out his mom with a soft voice and made a face for him to stay quiet.
He entered his house, but before he could even make his way to his room, his father's stern voice spoke out, making him flinch although it was not directed to him.
"Who are you to tell him to go upstairs? Don't you fucking teach him to disobey me. Doyoung, stop right there and go sit on the couch. "
It broke Doyoung because his father, the so-called man who married his mom-- her husband was swearing at his mom. He couldn't bear it.
"Dad! Don't talk to her like that!" He said in a slightly raised voice.
"Oh so not just your mother but now you will also teach me how to talk and how to not?" His father said as he slowly made towards Doyoung.
Doyoung had not realized what he had said until his father responded. His father walking towards him did not help the situation. He was scared because he knew his father would never hesitate to beat him up and not just him, his mother, and brother too.
"I-I was j-just saying" he shuttered out.
"DON'T YOU FUCKING SAY SOMETHING THEN. I DON'T WANT YOUR OPINIONS. ITS BETWEEN ME AND MY WIFE. GOT IT?" His father shouted making him and his mother flinch.
All Doyoung could do was nod his head in fear. His chest was tightening with fear and anxiety. He was starting to shake, and tears were forming in his eyes, ready to spill out. His breath hitched when he realized his dad made his way towards him. He stepped back, and soon, he was cornered. His back touching the wall and his dad towering him.
His dad raised his hand and took a grab of his hair and pulled them strong, making his head fall back and his toes in a tip toe position.
"Speak up. Your mom taught you to argue with your father but not give an audible response? Fucking speak up when I talk to you" his father growled staring at his pitiful eyes.
"Y-Yes father. U-Understood" he breathed out.
His father hummed out and let go of him. He finally glared at him before going back to his mom.
He went towards her and slapped her hard right on the cheek, which caused her to fall back on the floor.
Doyoung gasped. He was so confused about what was going in because as soon as he returned home, he had seen his brother storming out for some unknown reason and the suddenly he was being threatened by his own dad. And now this man had the audacity to hurt his mother.
"You better bring your son back or it won't be a pretty show for your son. It would be a shame for him to witness such things. Now, wouldn't it?" His father said with a smug voice.
"Y-yeah I will bring him back" and gulped of fear. A red print formed on her cheek and afraid another one will form on her other cheek or any other place on her body.
With that, his father left, and his mother and him were left alone. In all honesty, Doyoung was expecting his mother to at least the situation if not ask if he was okay. But he did not expect what she said.
"Fucking go upstairs. You just don't understand simple instructions when I told you to go upstairs"
Doyoung was shocked was an understatement. He thought she was joking but no. He was devastated. He tried protecting her and yet this is what he got.
He stormed upstairs locking the door behind him knowing well that his brother won't return for atleast two days. This wasn't new. He was used to it but that did not mean he was not hurt. Each time this happened, it hurt him more and it was really getting enough for him.
He slid his back down the door, leaning his head on the door and burst in tears. He was crying so hard he couldn't breathe. He was getting dizzy and his head was pounding. Unknowingly he was scratching his arms and legs which were folded. It was hard enough to draw out blood. The blood drawing out did not affect him. He still couldn't feel anything. He felt numb detached from reality. He wanted someone in his life that could save him.
He fell asleep from being exhausted because of crying. It had taken a huge toll on him as it always did. He was exhausted mentally and physically since he did not have dinner. He had incomplete school work but he couldn't care about it now. He slept against the door curled into himself. The blood drying up against his skin.
