"Miss Hart." Lyra opened her eyes to reveal a bright light in her eyes. The last thing she could remember seeing was Bucky, without his metal arm sitting on the floor and holding her hand in his. "You've just recovered from surgery." A male voice spoke in a thick accent. She sat up as she felt something touch her, she jumped. She couldn't see but she could hear which was weird because she had remembered her earing aid being stomped by Tony, like she had down with the ear piece he gave her in Berlin.

"Where am I?" She felt the person who went to touch her step away and then stand infront of her. "Who are you?" She looked around, she couldn't see anything.

"My name is King T'Challa, you are in Wakanda."

The man stood in front of her and placed her lenses in front of her eyes. Making her able to see. It was the black man who carried her back to the quinjet. "What's going on? Where's James or Steve?"

"My talented Sister repaired your hearing." The man's accent wasn't very familiar to Lyra, she could barely understand her. "She is working on your vision, but it seems that your sense of-"

"Where's James?" Lyra didn't seem to care about herself. She even ignored the man who tried to help her to think of others first.

T'Challa chuckled. "I admire your selflessness, Miss Hart." The noise of the door made Lyra jump, when she turned to see who it was, it was Steve. Lyra tried to jump to her feet but T'Challa stopped her "I would not try that quite yet."

Steve came up to the Table where she used to lay but now she sat, awake and aware of her surroundings. Steve hugged her, she grasped onto him tightly. "Where's James?" She asked once they pulled apart.

"He told me to tell you he was sorry." Steve said to her which didn't seem to comfort her.

"He's okay right? They didn't arrest him?"

"They do not know you are here, Miss Hart, you are also a wanted women." T'Challa told her.

"He's okay, he wanted to make sure you were okay first." Steve told her. "He's here, the Wakandans offered to help you and buck." Steve almost looked guilty as he didn't want to tell her where he was exactly.

Lyra looked between the two men that stood infront of her. "So why can't I see him? Does he know I'm awake?"

"He decided to go back on ice, Lyra." That felt like a punch to the gut to Lyra. So he wasn't conscious, he didn't know anything. "He couldn't control his own mind, he said it was the best for everyone until they can figure out how to help him."

"How long has it been?" Lyra asked with a blank face. Steve watched her expression as she now faced the ground.

"7 months."

"Miss hart, I can assure you our team is working on extracting the serum and repairing the scar tissue on Sargent Barnes' brain in order to help him."

Lyra couldn't process it all. She sat and stared without saying anything. Steve and T'Challa tried to talk to her but she didn't respond. She shut down. She thought about all the nights dancing, Drinking, the family with Leon. Leon. She couldn't get the boy out of head. She wondered if he was still alive, he should be right?

"She'll come around." Steve said to T'Challa as they stood by a window and watched the scenery.

"It won't be long before Shuri will be able to help Sargent Barnes." T'Challa told Steve.

Steve gave him a reassuring smile. "He fell in love with her in the 40s, she was the only thing he wanted to return home to." Steve explained remembering all the memories of his friend talk about her in their barracks. "She was a Kindergarten teacher who volunteered to help kids that got involved in the war."

"When Bucky fell into the ravine, she went after him, she must've found something that led her to HYDRA."

T'Challa chuckled at his words. "She is smarter than you know, Captain Rodgers."

Lyra stood by the Lake with a small rock in her hand, the flattest she could fine. She tried to stop her dress from sliding into the boggy ground. She swung her right hand with her body on its side, throwing the rock onto the water, skipping it three times before it sunk.

The children smiled watched in amazement. She didn't speak any Xhosa which is what the children spoke but she still enjoyed spending time with them.

The small rural village in Wakanda was good enough for Lyra. She didn't struggle with her hearing anymore, it was still enhanced but not to the point where she would ever be in pain and she didn't need to rely on technology. She also got advanced Laser eye surgery which she still was recovering from. Her vision was better than most, if not everyone her age.

Bucky was recovering with Shuri. He was awake, Lyra knew that, but she didn't ask to see him. She went through the serum extraction which was as painful as being injected with it and he was having major Brain surgery. She wanted to see him, but she didn't want to complicate his recovery either.

She was alone, but she finally had time to herself. Someone where she could think, where she could feel like herself. It was the first time she had to herself since she got her memory back, now she just wanted to know who she was.
