A few year before flashback:

Miyeon and lily use to be bestfriends and then it all changed one night. Lily and from a wealthy family and I didn't but the thing is that wasn't the reason why they ened their friend ship it was because of a certain boy and that was none other than yeosang. Lily knew that miyeon like yeonsang and miyeon and yeosang got along well but for lily it was diffeeent he payed less attention to her he treated lily as a sister but as for miyeon it was different so lily was jealous and told yeosang lies about miyeon to make it seem that miyeon was a bad person to hang out with even though she did nothing she even told her all about miyeon a background and lied about how miyeon was using him for the money.

After that yeosang and miyeon grew distance pretending to not know eachother but winter had found out and told miyeon everything what lily had done. Miyeon the had a fight with lily ending her up in the hospital. After that day miyeon and lily never spoke neither looked at eachother it was all because of lily's jealously that ended their friendship and how miyeon is who she is today.
