"I need a drink".

I tilt my head to Jade and she pauses."right.You aren't 21 yet.Okay how about dinner?My treat".

Going on to dinner with a hot professor?Sounds like a dream.

Jade's lips curves into a smirk and she says "I'm glad you think I'm hot.And that it would a dream.But maybe I need to remind you that I'm 13 years older than you?".

"Hey.If Knox can climb it,I can too".

She laughs and shakes her head."What makes you think Knox is the one who out effort in.Why couldn't it be me?".

I raise my eyebrow and say "Well you 100 percent deserve to have the guy begging on his knees".

Jade chuckles as we walk over to her car.I open the door and get in front seat.

"You know I'm totally get why Knox is obsessed with you.You put in his place and your hot?Double points Professor Phillips".

She laughs again before cranking her car up."Well you are nothing what i expected you to me.It makes sense why Nadia would be so..possessive of you".

I look at her confused and say "what do you mean?".

She freezes and turns her head to me."You don't know about the ban around campus?"."what ban around campus?".

"Your freshman year,Nadia out a campus wide ban on you.No dates you.No one kisses you.Nothing.All the facility was talking about it".

I gasp and say"That's why no one asked me out!?I thought it was because no one liked me".

"Oh plenty of people liked you then.I know a ..Sadie?She liked you freshman year.She would not stop talking in the Pyschology 101 about you.It pissed Professor Dark off so much".

She smiles and she "Then again I get it.You're personality..It matches Nadia's in a way.Just..-".

"-don't get too wrapped in.I know".She nods her head as we pull out of the Callister staff parking lot.

"So where are you talking me?Somewhere fancy?A diner even?Hell I'm always fine with fast food".

Jade shakes her head and says "I will never tell my secrets".I hold my hands up defensively and  let her drive.

We end up at a southern diner right on the edge of town.

We walk in and the waitress greets Jade with a smile."How are you Jade!?Oh who is this?".

Jade smiles and says "One of..my students,Emerson".

I smile and she gushes."What a beautiful smile!".

She sits us down at a booth and I look down at the menu."Seems you know this place".

"My secret hideout away from everyone"."Knox you mean?".

She gives me a pointed look and says "I'm sure you have a place Nadia doesn't know about?"."Of course I do".

She nods and I put my hand in my cheek."So tell me.How does someone like you..settle for someone like Knox?"."Settle?"she says amused.

"I mean look at you.You could date anyone.Male.Women ..he'll even both.You got the looks and the brains for it".

She leans forward and says "Is this your way of flirting,Emerson".

I shrug and say "Maybe?".

She laughs and looks back down at menu."Sometimes playing the dangerous card is better in the long run.Obsession is an interesting trait".
