Chapter Ten

10 years later...

Okay, soo...
Been a few years...
I graduated high school, went to vet school to be a vet, and...the biggest news (maybe)...I'm engaged to Rowan! We're supposed to get married in a month!
Willy adopted me.
I am now Ramona Haeley Wonka.
I won't be taking Rowan's last name (partly because it's Mossbarger).
I really like the last name Wonka.
I wear my non-binary pin on my jacket every day now.
I can't believe it's been 10 whole years since all that's happened to me!
Finding out my parents are dead...the Winter Formal...Willy adopting me...I've come so far from the 14-year-old person I once knew.
My friends and I drifted apart.
Izzy moved to LA, California with Vanessa (they're also engaged!) to be a therapist.
Laura and Gabriela moved to Japan.
And last I heard, Vanessa's parents were still in jail. (Heh. Serves them right.)

"Hey, stranger." I hear a familiar voice call out to me.

I turn around, and see Izzy. "Izzy!" I walk over to Izzy and hug her.

"I missed you!" Izzy exclaims.

"I missed you, too!" I exclaim.

Izzy pulls away from the hug. "So how have you been?"

"I've been good! How about you?" I ask.

"Also good." Izzy smiles. "I heard that you and Rowan are engaged! Is that true?"

I nod excitedly. "Is it true that you and Vanessa are engaged?"

Izzy nods. "She's so nice. And pretty."

"When are you getting married?" I ask.

"In two months." Izzy says.

"Congratulations!" I exclaim.

"Thanks." Izzy says.

I walk back home and I'm greeted by my cat, Luxia.

"Meow! Meow! Meow!" Luxia exclaims.

I kneel down at pet Luxia. "Hi, girl. Hello, precious little baby girl."

My other cat, DiDi, comes up to me and nuzzles my legs. She purrs.

"Hi, there. Precious little baby girl." I pet DiDi.

My other cat, Jelly, walks up to me. "Meow!" He exclaims.

I pet Jelly. "Hello, my little baby boy!"

A month later, me and Rowan get married. All of this happened so fast...I can't believe that I'm married now...oh! I should probably show you what I looked like!

Yep! That's me! Only ten years later! Oh! You probably wanna see Rowan as well!

He died his hair pink! (I definitely didn't make him hehe)

"Ramona!" Rowan exclaims, waving a hand in my face.

"Oh! Yeah?" I say.

"You've been writing in your journal for an hour now. What's up?" Rowan says.

"Nothing's up. Well...except for the sky...and the clouds...and airplanes...and--" I say.

Rowan cuts me off. "I get it. Are you sure you're okay?"

I nod, smiling. I go back to writing in my journal.
Well, look at that. Your last pages. Well, I've gotta go.
