"That concludes my report! Is there anything else you need from me, Deputy Chief Andersen?" Shifty asked.
The individual appeared to be middle-aged, with brown hair swept to the sides and eyes to match. He had a clean-shaven face and a V-shaped jawline and wore a military uniform.
He reread the report multiple times to ensure he wasn't seeing things, but it remained the same. He couldn't believe what he read. All of it sounded insane to him.
'A noncitizen from the Outer Rim that never attended a military academy managed to take down a Tyrant class Rapture by himself,' Andersen thought.
"You said the young man is in the Outer Rim, correct?" Andersen said.
"Yes."
"Is he still with the Nikkes?" Andersen asked.
"Yes."
"I want to meet him," Andersen said.
The scene changed to Y/n on the surface with Rapi and Anis. They were quiet on the way back.
Rapi heard Shifty's voice in her earpiece, "Rapi, are you still with Y/n?"
"Yes."
"Deputy Chief Andersen wants to meet him," Shifty relayed.
Rapi explained the situation to Y/n, causing the young man to look at her confusedly.
The young man examined his appearance. He was covered in a black and red liquid. "I think I look presentable," he said.
Anis was surprised that the young man could still make a joke after what had happened. There was a hint of sadness in his eyes.
"Hey, if possible, would you save Marian from corruption?" Anis asked.
Rapi raised her eyebrow slightly, but wouldn't lie as she was somewhat curious.
"What a dumb question," Y/n scoffed.
"I would," Y/n said.
It made Anis feel slightly better. She watched the young man risk his life to save Marian. She believed that Y/n would try to prevent Marian from being corrupted if he had the chance.
"So, am I going to be arrested the moment I step into the Ark?" Y/n wasn't going to follow through if this was a setup.
"Or am I getting to shot on sight?" Y/n asked.
"Deputy Chief Andersen will be waiting for you," Shifty said.
Rapi repeated what Shifty said to Y/n. The young man nodded. The group reached the elevator and entered. It started traveling down.
When the elevator arrived at its destination, the doors opened, and an older man in a military uniform seemed to be waiting for them.
