It was the morning of the war.

Everyone was warming up and packed their weapons.

"Jiyoonah. Stay safe and let's not get hurt?" Mingyu asked.

"Yes Gyu. Please stay safe." I told him.

"Let's for real watch movies and cuddle all night after we're done with this stupid war!" He told me.

"Sure honey!" I assured him.

"Pinky promise?~" He asked me as he pulled out his little finger.

I connected my little finger with his as I giggled at his cute action.

"Yo Lovebirds! Are you guys ready to go?" The8 asked us.

"Yes. Let's go jagiya." Mingyu said as he took my hand in his and kissed it softly.

We were in the ground right now.

The morning was chilly as a cold breeze was flowing through us.

"Well well my sons! How nice it is to have an actual fight with you after you trained with me all those years in this same damned place!" Mingyu's father exclaimed.

" It does feel great dad. But the only difference is that you've always won when we used to train. But this time, we'll show you what we're worth." Mingyu said with a determined expression.

"Haha! Interesting. Give me a good fight please. Don't get me bored. And remember! I won't hesitate to kill you." Mingyu's father said with an evil cackle.

"Same goes for you." Wonwoo said.

"Let's get started then?" Seungcheol asked with a smirk.

"Bring it on!!!" Mingyu's father screamed as his men dashed towards us.

The war had started.

Gun shots being heard everywhere, people screaming in pain....it was a nightmare.

This is my first time being in an actual war this way.

I tried my best to defend myself while attacking the enemies.

"Argh!" I shouted in pain as a bullet pierced through my right hand.

"Jiyoonah! You alright?" Mingyu asked as he rushed over to me.

"I-Im fine Gyu." I told him.

I saw someone aiming at Mingyu and I shoot him right away.

"Be careful!" I told Mingyu.

"You too." He said as he caressed my head and went off to fight.

The war went on and until now, we had the upper hand. It was thanks to Ateez's powerful weapons.

"Jiyoon help!" Eunchae shouted as a guy with a knife was attacking her.

I quickly ran to her and started having a physical fight with him.

I was out of bullets.

Phew, he almost stabbed me.

"We're done clearing here!" Seungcheol announced as he was done killing everyone behind Mingyu's father.

"The front part is ours. Let's do it Jiyoon!" Yeonjun said.

TXT and my gang were supposed to take care of the front part.

It felt bad to kill people but this is what I had to do.

I mercilessly cut down people's throats and severed their hands.

"You're good at this Jiyoon! Keep going!" Taehyun complimented me.

We killed all the people in the front part too.

"We're done too!" Yeji announced.

"Great! Now all that's left is him." Mingyu said as he approached his dad with a smirk.

"What do you say now dad? It was too boring for us...your men should've done better." He said.

"M-Mingyu! My son! You know that I love you r-right? P-Please don't kill me!" His father pleaded as he fell on Mingyu's legs.

"You were the one who taught us to be cold hearted and kill people no matter what they are to you." Wonwoo said with a cold face as he kicked his dad.

"You understand what we went through every single day because of you dad?" Mingyu asked.

"Y-Yes! I very much do! So please spare me this time???" He pleaded again.

"Father. Let's not waste more time. I'm tired and I want to go take a shower already. Which one of us is your most favourite son? Your favourite son will finish you off." Wonwoo said.

"N-No!!! Please don't do this to me!" His father said.

"Hyung....I think he likes you more. You know how he used to hit you 50 times while he hit me 51 times? You finish him." Mingyu said.

"That is true. But Gyu, I feel like he'd like it more if you killed him." Wonwoo told Mingyu.

Their father just looked at them with a terrified face.

"How can you guys be discussing soo calmly about killing your father?!? Such psychos you are!" Their father shouted.

"We're just showing you how you were to us. Nothing wrong." Wonwoo said.

"Mingyu quick....some of our members here are bleeding...we need treatment." Joshua shouted from afar.

"Alright hyung!" Mingyu said.

"Goodbye father. Hoping you'd have a lovely time in hell." Mingyu said as he shot in his father right at his chest.

"That would've hurt." I said as I looked at his dying father.

"No. It wouldn't hurt. He never had a heart to begin with. It's empty. So wouldn't really hurt much." Mingyu said with tears forming in his eyes.

"It's alright." I said as I gently hugged him.

Everything went well as planned.

We'll finally get to have the peace we were craving for! Hopefully......
