Chapter 1

"I think he knows.."

"Trust me Babe! You didn't have to!!!"- Inez's voice was reaching to Betty in whispers, as they were walking through the roughly crowded corridor.

"You don't get it, Inez!!"-Betty answered in the same pitch, "I am in—"

"—love! I know! But wasn't that embarrassing??"- inez replied giving betty a 'you-don't-get-it look'.

"I just passed him the textbook, when he asked me to!!"- betty explained, her voice softer than before.

"—then excitedly stumbled and fell into his lap, dripping his white shirt with ink!!"- she complained, wiping off Betty's smile.

"..yeah! That.. probably,.. was...embarrassing...."- betty breathed, stopping at her locker.

"Probably!?" - inez asked as her brows widened.

"Ok! Surely, it was embarrassing, so fucking embarrassing!! Fine!??"- betty said rolling her eyes.

"Betty! Girl you should stop simping over him like a dumb lovesick!!"- inez tried to convince her best friend in an understanding tone.

"—but I am lovesick! I love him!"-her eyes turned dreamy.

" oh shut up!"- she patted on betty's shoulder, looking away.

Betty sighed, closing the locker door! And putting headphones over her head!

Inez finally glared into her eyes, "babe! For how long would you be living in this stupid delusion??..you should talk to him!"

"But i think he knows!!" Betty said, " I ain't gotta tell him, i think he knows!!"

"..oh yeah!...of course!!"- Inez rolled her eyes, keeping her textbooks in the locker!

They were walking towards the canteen, when a sweet looking, curly haired boy joined in!

"Sweetie!" Inez squealed, wrapping her arms around him! As betty gave him a concerning smile, her headphones still on!

"So! Lunch...or coffee!"- he questioned Inez, as they were now walking with their hands in the pockets of Inez's jacket!

"Oh! Adrian! I thought, I'd have lunch with Betty today!"- she looked at him disappointedly, when betty gave him a teasing smile.

"Is it?"- Adrian asked, "so! We'd have to postpone the coffee date with james and our friends for some other day!!"- he continued, eyeing at betty, managing to wink at Inez!

Betty slides her headphone down, "..i am full anyways! So I think we can have coffee at the school cafe...I mean,,if you guys...really want to!" - she says gently, followed by Inez and Adrian's cheerful laughs!

"Honestly! You guys! Laughing at me??"- betty seemed irritated.

"Betty!"- Adrian said, seriously! "I won't lie to you! And...I want to tell you, that my friends are kinda...shipping you and james—"

"—WHATT!?"- betty almost screamed!

.."—kinda!"- he highlighted.

"How?"- Inez asked curiously!

"You know! What happened today in literature! The ink, betty in his lap, the textbook—"

"—yeah! Adrian! What about that??"- betty asked, being embarrassed by the moment Adrian was making her relive!

"So! The moment you were in his lap....Tris clicked a picture of you two!!"

"He didn't!!" Inez said with a hint of smirk on her face!

"Well he did! And now they are teasing him, by the picture!!"- Adrian laughed!

"How childish!!"- betty exclaimed, while she turned scarlet!

"Ikr??"- Adrian said swiftly as they stepped out of the campus towards the football court! "And guess what??" He whispered lastly. Both Inez and betty gazed up at him excitedly. "James didn't even ask them to delete it! Instead he was going red..just like betty goes whenever she sees him!"

"See!"- betty breathed to Inez! "I told you! He knows!"

"..well! Maybe!"- she says!

"But Michael was jealous as fuck to be honest!" He continued, as both betty and inez rolled their eyes!

"Ofcourse he was!"- inez said with an ick! "A jerk for real!"

"He was your first love though!" - Adrian said teasing Inez.

"Yeah! And how much times do I have to regret that?"- she replied softly.

Both Adrian and betty giggled, as inez breathed, "you are the limit, Adrian!"

She was angry, "ok! Darling! Let's not fight now, okay? I was just kidding!"- Adrian said making her face him!

"You know! Micheal is not even worth joking about—" she was telling him when interrupted by his kiss, they were passionately making out, when I was, being a stupid third wheel!

"Whoa! Alright guys! Save something for tonight please! None of us here wants to know how much you love each other!" Betty said, as they parted and started to laugh out loud!

Adrian kept his hand on inez's waist, when they began to make their way to the school cafe!

"Adrian! Boy! You literally need to wipe off Inez's lipstick dancing upon your lips!"- betty said casually, and Inez wiped off his lips with the sleeves of her jacket!
