Rudra: You were singing! But how?
Vaani: What! are you eavesdropping on me?
Rudra: What noo? Why will i do that?
Vaani: And what do you mean by how? If you can sing then i can sing too.
Rudra: But i never saw you participating in any of these activities. Like you were so conserve that i thought that you dont have intrest in these activities.
Vaani: Not participating is my personal decision that doesnt mean I cant sing. But why are you so intrested in my singing. Are you really impressed by my voice?
Rudra: Hnn, no not at all. Its just that i was little shocked. Your voice nothing special , it was ok.
Vaani: Hmm, i know Its nothing special. I know my capabilities thats why i never performed on stage.
Rudra: But you can try, i mean maybe due to some magic you can qualify the audition.
Vaani: I know i can never, so Its of no use to waste my time.
After having a short conversation Rudra came to his seat and drank some water after that he went to library for preparing some notes.
In the library while preparing his notes. He was still thinking about that mesmerizing voice which was still fresh in his memory. He didnt appreciate in front of her but he was really impressed by her soft and soothing voice.
He was craving to listen to her again but his male ego was a big barrier for him. So he thought to avoid thinking about it as much as he can. _______________________________________
After some days result of the audition was ready and was to be announced in the morning assembly.
Principal: So students I am thrilled to announce that this year contestants for the audition was double as compare to last year. And the unique and precious talent of our students are commendable. I really appreciate everyones hardwork. So now i will announce the students who qualify the audition.
After that principal announced all the names, and as expected our Rudra qualify the audition and when his name was announced the whole assembly started clapping excitedly.
Principal: So these are names congratulations to the qualifiers and best of luck to other participants for next year. Practice will be start from tomorrow thank you.
After this the assembly end and everyone went to their respective classes.
In the classroom
Teacher: Congratulations Rudra and Jahnvi you both qualified the audition. So for your information you both are partners and will sing duet. So please prepare your song properly. And if you want you can take the help of your music teacher.
Listening to her teacher Rushi was burning in jealousy because she also gave the audition but she was unable to qualify as her voice sounds like a crow which makes the judges nearly deaf. So seeing Rudra and Jahnvi as partners makes her angry.
Rushi: This Jahnvi, i always knew that her innocent behaviour is just her acting for gaining sympathy she is a witch from inside. I will not let her snatch my Rudra from me.
Vaani: Congratulations!
Rudra: Oh thanku I thought you can only fight.
Vaani: Yeah because i am not like someone who is always ready to taunt everyone. Its my bad only to expect a decent behaviour from you.
During recess
Vaani: Chill yrr, Its ok if you didnt qualify this time. I am sure you will succed next year.
Swikriti: Hmm, right. But i am really offended with you, atleast you should have tried.
Vaani: Please Kiu, you know i dont want to talk about this topic.
Swikriti: Ok i will not talk about it if you dont want.
After that they attend their classes and then went to their home. _______________________________________
At Home
Vaani: Maa, please give me food, my class will start in one hour.
Vaani's Mom: Yeah just wait you arrange everything on dining table till then.
After arranging everything all of her family members sat together to have their lunch.
Vaani's Father: So how was your day Vaani?
Vaani: Nothing special Papa, today our principal announced the names of qualifiers.
Vaani's father: Hmm, you dont need to indulge in all these activities, just focus on your studies. I want your percentage more that 90% this time.
Vaani: Hmm, yes papa i know.
Vaani's father: And anyway you are not capable enough to qualify. And i guess you already know that.
Vaani: I know papa, thats why i didnt participated.
Saying this she put her plate in sink and went to her room. She was feeling devastated because of her father's harsh words. But now she was use to it so it didnt affect her much.
But somehow these words were the reason to her low self Confidence and social anxiety issues.
She then join her class and got busy in her studies once again, leaving her hobbies, her passion and her happiness behind.
