Rayne's P.O.V.

Waking up in a room I've never seen before my head is pounding. I don't where I am or how I got here. The last thing I remember is walking home from the bookstore I work at. I haven't even worked there long as I just moved from Florida to Virginia for college. I was going to major in criminology and criminal justice. I say was because I don't know if I'm going to make it out of this alive. Trying to move my arms they ache, and I realize I'm cuffed to the bed posts. My feet are the same way. Struggling against them it's no use. The chains are metal and look like they aren't going to break anytime soon.

Sighing I look around the room I'm being kept in. It's obviously a guest bedroom as it's decorated rather mutely and there's no real sense of personality. I try to think back and figure out who could have done this, but I've met so many new people and none of them stand out in my mind. Laying there for a while I try to see if I can hear any movement. For a while there's nothing and then I hear the sound of footsteps. It sounds like someone wearing a heeled shoe.

Suddenly there's the sound of keys and the door unlocks. Once the door is open a figure slips inside. Gasping it's definitely a woman. It's not just any woman though. I've had a massive crush on this woman since my first day at the bookstore. "W-what? Why?" She shuts the door behind her sitting on the end of the bed.

Emily's P.O.V. – Earlier that day...

Walking out of Hotch's office I'm pissed. He's suspending me for a week for something I didn't even do. Morgan's the one who decided to enter the house before backup arrived, I just went with him so if something happened at least he wasn't alone. Our unit chief has somehow got it in his head it's my fault though. Ever since I've come back, he's been up my ass about everything. Everybody else's mistakes are mine. I wouldn't have come back if I knew it was going to be like this.

I pick up my to-go bag ignoring the looks Spencer and Derek are giving me. Beelining for Pen's lair I knock on the door waiting for her to tell me to enter. Sitting down in the extra spinney chair she looks at me sympathetically. I don't want sympathy I just want things to go back to how they were. "I saw the paperwork it just officially came through. I know that wasn't your call and you should be punished for it." Shrugging there's nothing I can do about it now.

Aaron's punishing me I just don't know what for. "Can you do me a favor a find someone for me?" Pulling up her search parameters I tell her the girl's first name and where she works.

I feel bad for what I'm going to do I just can't seem to stop myself. "Here she is Rayne Lennox. Twenty-one years old halfway through her Bachelor's in Criminology. She transferred here to Virginia from Florida State. Oh... that's sad." Raising my eyebrow, she points to the screen. "Her father had been a marine and died in Iraq when she was young. Her mother passed away more recently and from the looks of it, she was murdered by the stepfather. Rayne was in and out of the hospital following the years her dad died. They opened a case with child protective services, but it doesn't seem like anything came of it." That explains why she's so skittish especially when men come into the bookstore.

Thanking Pen, I kiss her cheek telling her I'll see her once my suspension is up. I'm not planning on coming back here until then. Throwing my stuff into my trunk I head straight for the bookstore. I just want to see her. I do realize I've become obsessive but it's like an impulse and I can't control it. I'm beginning to understand how unsubs feel and that's a scary thing. Parking in the lot next to the building I enter the coffee shop half first. They're connected both owned by the same person. I get a coffee and a croissant walking through to the quieter section that is the bookstore.
