Ghoul x Lucy

Her morals and human side was changing him.
His cut throat ways and no rules were changing her.

Of course the vault that held his wife and child was lifeless. Two hundred years of searching the wasteland and here were their bones. His wife's skeleton clung to his daughter's. What was the use of going any forward? He became an abomination just to find them and here they were. He wanted to break down but no tears would flow. He went to put the gun in his mouth and Lucy quickly jerked it out.
"What are you doing?"
"No point. They're dead." He scoffs
"Since when is the ghoul a coward?" Her words cut like a knife.
"We still need to find my dad and stop him. He is responsible for all of this." Lucy explains. She was right and he hated it. Over the past few weeks he noticed the change in her. It slowly started the day she found out that her father was a monster. Cooper glanced down at her hand before gazing into her big brown eyes.

Every once in a while something changes
And she's changing me
It's too late for me now, I am altered
There is something beneath
She's not acid nor alkaline
Caught between black and white
Not quite either day or night
She's perfectly misaligned
I'm caught up in her design
And how it connects to mine
I see in a different light
The objects of my desire
Ooh, let's talk about chemistry
'Cause I'm dying to melt through
To the heart of her molecules
'Til the particles part like holy water
If anything, she's an undiscovered element
Either born in hell or heaven-sent
But either way I'm into it
She's not acid nor alkaline
Caught between black and white
Not quite either day or night
She's perfectly misaligned
I'm caught up in her design
And how it connects to mine
I see in a different light
The objects of my desire
Not acid nor alkaline
Caught between black and white
Not quite either day or night
She's perfectly misaligned
I'm caught up in her design
And how it connects to mine
I see in a different light
The objects of my desire

Lucy whistled for the dog before turning to exit the crumbling vault. Cooper looked down one last time at his family before holstering his weapon. She was right, he needed to go after her father.

The trip was going to be dangerous no doubt, but Lucy had been through so much since she left the safety of her vault. She did her best to cling to her morals that were instilled in her since birth, but slowly the radiated and broken world slowly infected her. Cooper the ghoul was right. Everyone eventually breaks.
As the sun set over the desolate wasteland, the ghoul and Lucy found themselves surrounded by a pack of feral ghouls. With their glowing eyes fixated on their prey, the feral ghouls began to close in, their eerie moans filling the air.
Without hesitation, the ghoul sprang into action, drawing their trusty laser rifle and firing precise shots, taking down the feral ghouls one by one. Lucy, armed with her energy pistol, provided covering fire, her aim steady despite the chaos around them.
With the last of the feral ghouls defeated, the duo caught their breath, relieved to have survived yet another encounter with the dangers of the wasteland.
It was a reality one day Cooper could face, becoming feral. Lucy noticed him glaring too long at the dead bodies and pushed his arm slightly.
"You won't become like that. I won't let you." She spoke in a determined tone.
"Are you sure about that?" He asked, tilting his head a bit.
"I saved you last time, remember. Even though you sold me to an organ harvesting robot." She scoffed.
"Let's just get going." He ignored her last remark and adjusted his saddle bag that was slung over his shoulder.
"Whatever you say cowboy." Lucy's sarcastic tone made him crack a smile
