In the west side of the city of Tokyo, a cursed womb carrying a potential special grade cursed spirit appears. It is located within the confines of the Eishu Juvenile Detention Center.
Makima is attending a conference held by the higher-ups while Satoru is away on a business trip (again).
The three first-years, Itadori Yuji, Kugisaki Nobara, and Fushiguro Megumi were tasked with an emergency rescue mission.
Kiyotaka Ijichi explains the situation to the three students.
"Windows confirmed a cursed womb hovering over the training field at Eishu Juvenile Detention Center. Currently, five inmates are trapped inside building number 2. You three are tasked with rescuing the inmates without engaging the special grade curse." he says
"I repeat, do NOT under any circumstances engage the special grade cursed spirit. Your only option is to run." he warns
"What's a window?" Asks Yuji
"A window isn't a jujutsu sorcerer. They are capable of casting Curtains. They are utilized solely for their ability to see curses and to notify sorcerers of the mission they are to undertake." explains Ijichi
"I still don't get this special grade stuff." Yuji said
Megumi and Nobara look at him like he was stupid.
"Fine. I will explain it to the point where even an idiot can understand." said Ijichi
-Grade 4: you're good with a baseball bat
-Grade 3: use a gun and you'll be okay
-Grade 2: a shotgun is probably good, but not good enough
-Grade 1: you won't feel safe even with a tank
-Special Grade: you need constant carpet bombing for this
Yuji was surprised. No words
A woman sobs to one of the staff members in the distance. She is one of the victims' mother. She interrupts the operation to ask about her son, Tadashi. She asks them to save Tadashi.
"Don't worry ma'am. We're here to save him and the others." says Yuji
The pink-haired boy becomes determined to fulfill her request.
After Ijichi lowers the curtain, the three students head toward the building. Megumi summons his divine dogs and orders them to alert him if the curse is in close proximity.
As they enter the building, they are surprised by a much larger space than they were expecting.
"Wait. I thought this was a two-story building?!" Yuji asks
"It's okay guys! It's just a maisonette!"
Nobara says, a bit nervous
"WHY DID THE DOOR DISAPPEAR?!" Nobara asked
"We're trapped inside a domain made of cursed energy. It may be unfinished, but it seems to have warped in with the building." says Megumi
"My divine dogs remember the scent of the exit." he adds
The other two felt a bit relieved, albeit a tad nervous.
Yuji and Nobara go on to pet the dogs, praising them for being such good boys.
They continue walking. The lighthearted atmosphere suddenly dissipating when the trio come across an unsettling scene of gore.
