❗️TW: Violence❗️

Youngjae's grip on Daehan was like a vice, his fingers digging painfully into the tender flesh of his arm as he forcibly dragged him away. Daehan's heart hammered wildly in his chest, confusion, fear, and disbelief swirling in a tumultuous storm within him.

With each agonizing step, Daehan whimpered, his body flinching at the sudden and violent action. His eyes, wide with shock, pleaded for understanding as they darted fearfully between Youngjae's stern expression and the uncertain path ahead.

Silent and unyielding, Youngjae offered no explanation as he led Daehan through the corridors, his grip unrelenting as they reached the Pavilion of Elegance. With a rough shove, Daehan was propelled onto the bed, the force of the impact stealing his breath as he lay there, stunned and vulnerable.

Wide-eyed and trembling, Daehan dared to meet Youngjae's gaze, his heart pounding in his chest as he struggled to comprehend the abrupt turn of events. The red imprint of Youngjae's grip marred his wrist, a painful reminder of the intensity of his emotions and the depth of their connection.

Youngjae's fingers closed around Daehan's face with a vice-like grip, his nails digging into the soft flesh of his cheeks as he spoke through clenched teeth. "Do you dare to humiliate me in front of the entire court?!" His voice edged with anger, cut through the air like a blade, carrying the weight of his wounded pride.

The pressure of Youngjae's grip intensified as he continued, his words dripping with accusation. "As my consort, how dare you dance so brazenly before the assembled nobility?!" His voice rose with each word, filled with a potent mix of fury and betrayal.

His eyes blazing with unspoken emotion, Youngjae demanded answers, his voice echoing through the chamber with an authority that brooked no defiance. "And by whose permission did you dare to engage in such reckless behaviour?!"

Daehan's gasp caught in his throat, his confusion mounting as he struggled to comprehend Youngjae's sudden outburst. Frantically, he attempted to communicate through the language of signs, his hands trembling as he sought to convey the truth about the letter.

But before he could articulate his thoughts, Youngjae slapped his hands away. "SHUT UP!" Youngjae's voice thundered through the room, his grip tightening around Daehan's delicate features, eliciting a whimper of pain from the younger man.

"You relish the role of a courtesan, don't you? Revelling in the attention of men," Youngjae's voice dripped with disdain as he levelled his accusatory gaze at Daehan, his words laced with bitterness and resentment. Each syllable carried the weight of his wounded pride and betrayed trust, fueling the flames of his anger.

With a sudden and forceful movement, Youngjae yanked Daehan upright from the bed, his grip firm and unyielding as he compelled him to stand before him. The air crackled with tension as he settled onto the mattress, his gaze locked onto Daehan with a steely intensity.

"Then play the role of a courtesan," Youngjae's voice was low, seething with suppressed fury as he issued his command, his eyes ablaze with a mixture of scorn and longing. "But do so in my presence... and mine alone."

Daehan stood there in front of him, trembling with his head down, tears rolling down from his eyes.

"DID YOU NOT HEAR ME?!" Youngjae's voice thundered through the chamber, reverberating with raw emotion as he unleashed his frustration upon Daehan. "I SAID DANCE!"

His words, sharp as daggers, cut through the air, leaving an unsettling silence in their wake. Daehan recoiled, his heart pounding in his chest as he shrank under the weight of Youngjae's rage. A fleeting moment of realization crossed Youngjae's features, his anger giving way to a bitter understanding. "Or perhaps," he sneered, his voice dripping with bitter sarcasm, "you refuse to dance until I've showered you with gold and diamonds?"
