Alright after such a fierce Arc, time for a downtime chapter to explain some lore and such. Before another crazy Arc starts

*Zumi's ring theory*

After the news interview, Ray managed to slip away from Aelita and Venam, making sure to sort something out before it got too late.

Library:

As he made his way into the Gearan library, everyone recognized him as a hero—the one who had saved them from the ghost plants. He slipped past them as well and went upstairs, where he saw a redhead with glasses using a digital pen on her Poképad.

That was Zumi, one of the leaders and head of the city. Apparently, she had a knack for drawing fanart.

"Oh yes, just like that," she finished drawing a guy with purple hair holding a red glowing sword.

"Wow, I didn't know you could draw like that!" Ray exclaimed, startling her.

"Ahhh, oh it's you, Ray... Or should I say Silver now? Well, whatever. You've caught me in the midst of creating the greatest fan art of Godwin from Bland-Red: De-Link, behold!" Zumi proudly showed him her full work, to which he clapped with stars in his eyes.

"It's amazing. By the way, can you help me figure something out with this Pokémon?"

Ray handed her the worm-like Pokémon. It was definitely a bug type, but he had no idea what species it was.

Zumi chuckled a bit and then explained to him what the creature was.

"You didn't expect a regional variant, did you? Well, we've got a few of them in this region as well."

"This is Aevian Sewaddle. Instead of being a grass and bug type, it's a bug and dragon type. It uses its autumn leaves to look scary and frighten predators. Isn't that cool? Where'd you catch it from anyway? The sewers?"

Ray rubbed his head, about to say something crazy. "Well, I kinda just ended up with it after getting teleported into another dimension or world or time... It's really messed up. I had a shiny Noibat, and now it's like it got traded for this thing."

Zumi was shocked. She checked the trainer tag that Sewaddle's PokéBall had on her computer.

Its original trainer's name was Razina. The girl in the picture had brown skin, red eyes, and her black hair was tied into two long braids. She wore a white floral tee, a red jacket over that, gray shorts over black leggings, and black hiker boots.

Razina

Ray felt a sense of familiarity toward the picture of this girl, yet he had never met her before in his life.

"Hmmm, there's a resemblance. That settles it. As you passed through that dimensional gate, this girl must have passed through a similar gate, thus the two dimensions collided, and you both ended up reluctantly switching Pokémon!" Zumi explained.
