Chapter 16: I don't have a type

"not cool bro" Derrick says with a slight frown." You're not taking the rules seriously" he complains.

"Actually I am,i don't have a type and you know that" Xavier says.

"Let's just watch a movie or something, that should be better right?"Amelia asks, her beautiful big eyes seem to be pleading. She's really pretty.
The boys are staring, but Karen clears his throat and shrugs"I think that's a good idea".

"What's your genre for movies?" Derrick asks, leaning closer to her.

"I like romance and all that" she says and the boys 'cooes' loudly.

"And you?" I turn. It's Xavier asking, for a moment he looks interested

"Horror" I say observing his reaction. He doesn't give me one, he just nods and turns to talk to Amelia. She's pretty and all. I don't see why they won't be interested. I sigh and listen to their rantings.

At the end of their bickerings, they all agree to watch a movie called 'sex appeal'or something like that. The previously tossed blanket was spread on the floor and we all lay on it, Amelia is laying in between Derrick and Karen, and Xavier is next to Karen,i am laying next to Xavier. Occasionally,he would shift a little close to Karen, like he didn't like the idea of laying next to him.

Soon we were all watching the film.

Derrick and Karen has been throwing glances Amelia's way, and I doubt she notices. I don't know about Xavier because I don't bother to look at him. He's weird.

Earlier, when he had apologized,i felt maybe we were getting off to a good start. I mean he apologized and all. So, he must want to be friends right?. I really didn't know the basics of friendship,as i never really had close friends.

Amelia has always been the friendly one amongst us. She was pretty, and she was charming. Who wouldn't seriously like her?

I sigh and pretend to stretch so I can see if they are still stealing glances at her. They are both focused on the movie, and so is Amelia.
Xavier is sleeping already, and he looks so peaceful. I like the sleeping him more.

I was beginning to feel sleepy myself as I yawn for the third time. A glance at Amelia tells me she is not going to be sleeping soon,so I decide to sleep a little, she will wake me up on her way to the room.

The little black alarm clock on the desk reads 8:00 sharp. Good. There was still time.
Amelia will wake me up on her to the room.

And with the sounds of their laughter,i drift away.
