Another day off was much calmer this time. Nishino's probably been playing tetris all morning, and I still don't know what it is. Unfortunately, the Internet sensei has a bad connection today for some reason. I could ask her directly, but she looks so focused that I don't want to interrupt her. Watanabe is still sleeping, even though it's already noon. It's probably because he didn't sleep longer than the two of us yesterday, sitting on his phone.
I thought about getting some extra sleep too, but I always came to the conclusion that tomorrow is Monday, and knocking down sleep patterns now is one of the worst options. On the other hand, I lie on my futon most of the morning, before that I only had to get up to visit the bathroom and the kitchen for a light breakfast.
– I'm going to meet.. a friend..?
Suddenly, I got a message from Arisu on my phone. She wrote that she would be in her room soon and could arrange a cooking lesson for me if I was free. I answered her briefly and affirmatively with one message. I had an idea to add little yellow emotions, but I changed my mind at the last moment.
– Why does it sound like you're doubting yourself?
– Well...
Yes, I still haven't decided who all these people are to me. Arisu seems to communicate with me quite sweetly and intimately, as if we are good acquaintances. If you think that way, that's how friendship begins, isn't it? Although, of course, I can't be completely sure. In any case, my own words baffled Nishino.
She's still playing with her phone, but she still took a little time to ask me about it. Well, it seems that she can be distracted from this sometimes, the main thing is not to overdo it.
– Okay, it doesn't matter.
She looked at me for a second and then went back to her game. Is it that interesting? I want to play too. Although after a few seconds, Nishino waved her palm in my direction a couple of times, as if silently telling me to leave. Well, if that's the case, then fine.
I took one more look at Watanabe before moving towards the front door. It's a day off and I'm not going to the store or even for a walk. I think a plain white T-shirt with black shorts should be suitable for this. However, Nishino called my outfit chess for some reason, but I ignored it. After I put on my shoes, I checked my phone again, but I didn't see anything new.
Anyway, I left our room and went to the floor above. Well, it's time to improve your culinary skills again. I'm not sure if Arisu has returned to her room yet, but I have permission to enter, so everything should be fine. At least it looks like someone should be there. When I knocked on the door, the wait was not long. The sound of light footsteps came from the other side of the door much faster this time than last time. Soon my gaze met with beautiful bright pink eyes.
– Come in.
Tamiya opened the door for me, who immediately allowed me to go inside, which I did immediately, while nodding gratefully. I took off my shoes when the door closed behind me.
– May I come into the kitchen?
After all, I'm on someone else's territory, even if I've been here once before, but I still need to continue to observe the etiquette of politeness. This is not only socially accepted in most of the civilized world, but also quite traditional specifically for Japan.
– Sakayanagi-san is not here right now. If you want, you can go straight to the kitchen or sit in the living room.
– Has she come back yet? Apparently, I came a little early.
– It seems that way.
Next time, you'll have to wait in that case. If I come here ahead of time and cause problems, I don't think anyone will like it. Although, given that Tamiya is not asking unnecessary questions now, she has probably already been warned about everything. This is quite convenient, because very little time has passed.
