After a few hours of sleeping, Wooyoung woke up to find San sitting right beside him.
Wooyoung flinched, "You just scared me."
"Why do you get scared so easily? Strange. Why did I even take you in the first place? Such a mistake indeed," San mused.
"I never wanted to be here either. You think I want to be with a gangster-looking man like you? No, never," Wooyoung retorted.
"Yeah, you deserve that, don't you? How to behave with someone who helps? Say thank you, kiddo," San replied.
"Who are you calling a kiddo?" Wooyoung snapped back.
"Why do you act tough, Youngshim nim? Who did that to you?" San inquired.
"No one. When can I leave this place? It's so dirty. Don't you clean?" Wooyoung deflected.
"Hey, it's only me here. It doesn't need cleaning," San defended.
"Yeah, I see that," Wooyoung muttered.
"Don't change the topic. Were you bullied at your school? When I was in school, I used to beat those who bullied someone. Damn, those school days were the best," San reminisced.
"So, you've been like this from the beginning. No wonder you look like that," Wooyoung remarked.
San looked at himself, puzzled. "Huh? Wait, what do you mean? I look better than you. Have you seen your clothes? Damn, you've got nerves to say that, twink."
Wooyoung couldn't help but retort, "Can't you stop calling me that twink or whatever?"
Suddenly, San heard knocking on the door, and he was alerted by it.
San turned serious, turning to Wooyoung. "Do you think you can walk?" Wooyoung shifted towards San, asking, "Why is there some gang coming after you or what?" San was tired of Wooyoung's questions, and he got up as he noticed it was the same people who had been following him around.
"Not these guys again. Hey, we need to get out of here now. How? I don't know, maybe jump out the window or something. Can you move?" San urged urgently.
Wooyoung attempted to move, but all San heard were hisses and cries of pain, as he couldn't move.
"Okay, don't move. Let me help," San decided. Suddenly, the gang broke into his apartment.
"Search everywhere! Don't let him go, or else I'll kill you. Either get killed by me or kill him," the boss ordered.
San phased and hid with Wooyoung in an upper storage area. It was dark, small, and cramped, but they squeezed tightly together to fit. As San peered down, they could still see the gang below.
"Who are these people?" Wooyoung whispered suddenly, but San pressed a finger to his lips.
"Don't make noise. Shhh. Sit tight;
no one is here. I guess he's not home yet. Okay, then, let's wait until he arrives, and then we attack. Understand? Just keep an eye out. Be on guard. I'm here; don't let your guard down,"
"Okay, sir," the gang members responded, except for the boss.
"Are you okay? I know it hurts, but stay with me. We'll get out of here soon, okay? Trust me. Will you?" San whispered to Wooyoung.
Wooyoung nodded in response.
"Where do you live?" San asked quietly.
"15th street, Geunju Community, the first building," Wooyoung replied softly.
"We'll go there for now. If they saw you with me, they'll probably chase you to death as well, so try to hide yourself well," San advised.
"No, wait! Don't go. They'll kill you. They have guns," Wooyoung pleaded.
