Unexpected Donor

How could a beautiful date end so badly? Everything was a blur. We had a HORRIBLE accident.

"Where's Austin? Is he okay?" I asked.

"Miss can you please calm down. You have a piece of glass in your chest. It punctured your heart. We need you to stay calm and save your energy." A nurse said.

I move my head up to look at my chest and there is a huge piece of glass in my chest. I lay back down and take slow deep breaths.

After Surgery

/flashback/

We was heading home from a beautiful date. I was holding Austins hand. He brought my hand up to his lips and kissed my hand.

"I love you (Y/N)"

"I love you Austin. Forever and always."

Then all I saw was black. I heard glass shatter and the car crumble. We hit something hard. Maybe a tree. Then I was out.

End of flash back.

I woke up breathing hard and I sat straight up. Doctors came in and checked my Vital Signs.

I look and see Mama Mahone sitting beside me. She grabbed my hand. She was in tears.

"Where's Austin?" I asked. She didn't answer. She just cried. Her hand went to my heart.

"He's right here." She patted my chest.

"What?"

"Uh.. I don't know how to say this but he umm.. he didn't make it.. they gave you a heart transplant."

"Wait how? Who was the donor?"

"Austin."

"Wait no.. this can't be happening he is still alive. He is okay."

"Do you want to go see him?" I shook my head. Mama Mahone took my hand and walked me down the hall to his room.

I was in tears before I got there. My tears where like a waterfall. His chest was stiched closed above where his heart should be.

"No!..Why would they kill him just to save me!?"

"Sweetie they didn't kill Austin. He was dead on impact. Well brain dead." Mama Mahone said. I ran over to him and grabbed his hand. I cried and cried.

"Please tell me there is going to be another heart donor. I'm nothing with out Austin." I said.

"I'm sorry sweetie. It's to late." She said. I fell to the floor crying. Mama Mahone hugged me.

"Come on let's go get some ice cream." She said. Helping me up. I kiss his cold lips.

"This is all my fault." I said. It's true it is all my fault.

"No its not. Don't blame yourself."

"But.."

"No buts. Austin will still always be with you. In your heart."

"Don't you mean Austins heart?" I said lauging a little.

"Yes. He saved you. He will still always be with you not physically but mentally and in your heart." She said and hugged me.
