-Third Person POV-
It had been about two weeks since Shizuka had seen Gojo. She wondered if he was alright but knowing him, he's probably off on a mission.

Shizuka was walking the streets near her apartment when she accidentally bumped into an older business man. She bowed and signed an apology but the older man became infuriated. He grabbed onto Shizuka's arm and began yelling at her, demanding she speak up and apologise for bumping into him. Shizuka panicked.

Shizuka tried pulling her arm back but she couldn't get her arm out of the man's grasp. People stopped and looked at the commotion happening.

Shizuka was feeling uncomfortable as she was about to tell the man to let go, using her cursed speech technique.

"Now is that any way to treat such a sweet young lady?"

Shizuka's eyes widened at the familiar voice. It was Gojo wearing regular clothes with sunglasses on. If Shizuka didn't know any better, she would've thought he was someone else. However, his voice, hair colour, and height gave him away.

The man snapped his head around and glared at Gojo before looking up at Gojo's tall figure.

"She bumped into me and didn't even apologise!" the older man scoffed.

Gojo rolled his eyes before saying Shizuka was a dear friend of his, saying that she was mute. Therefore, of course, she couldn't apologise to him by talking out loud. The man gulped and released Shizuka's arm.

Shizuka calmed down as she bowed, signing an apology to the older man before he stormed off. Gojo scoffed at Shizuka's action, wondering how Shizuka could remain nice to someone who was so hostile towards her.

Gojo had an idea of Shizuka's cursed technique now as he saw her cursed energy increase near her mouth. However, he wasn't going to expose his findings to Shizuka. There must have been a reason she won't talk about it. He wanted to hear Shizuka's voice. He wondered if it was gentle, high pitched, or low pitched. Although, Gojo did wonder if she was related to the Inumaki clan.

Shizuka looked up at Gojo in thankfulness for getting her out of that situation. Gojo smirked before nudging her shoulder with his arm.

"Aren't you glad I exist in the world?"

Shizuka smiled while rolling her eyes, shaking her head in a disbelief manner. Gojo chuckled before asking Shizuka where she was heading.

Shizuka signed the word bakery to let Gojo know she was heading back to her bakery.

"I'll walk you there."

Shizuka was going to oppose but somehow sensed Gojo would come along anyway.

Once arriving at the bakery, Shizuka grabbed Gojo's favourite sweets before putting them in a bag. Gojo had his back turned towards Shizuka, looking out the window. Shizuka lightly tapped on Gojo's arm. Gojo looked down and was shocked to see the bag of sweets. Gojo was fishing in his pockets for his card before Shizuka held her hand up, telling him to stop. She signed the word free—letting Gojo know he could have the sweets for free. Gojo was stunned as he didn't know what to say. He signed thank you to Shizuka before smiling brightly. Shizuka smiled back while looking up at him.

Gojo leaned down as his glasses were sliding down the bridge of his nose. Shizuka held her breath from seeing the colour of Gojo's eyes. They were stunning. The most beautiful blue that the sky and oceans could only dream of being.

Gojo noticed this as he grinned.

"Like what you see?" Gojo teased.

Shizuka blushed before looking away, covering her face with her hands in embarrassment. Gojo chuckled before ruffling Shizuka's hair on the top of her head.

Shizuka moved her fingers so she could look at Gojo while still covering her face.

Gojo's phone rang when he pulled his phone out of his pocket. He got a call about a boy who apparently needed to be brought into the school for an execution. Gojo frowned before ending the call. He bid Shizuka goodbye before leaving.

However, little did Gojo and Shizuka know a certain someone was watching them from afar inside a building.

"I wonder if she's anything special to him?" the person asked out loud while on call with someone else.

Shizuka looked out to the building across the street from her bakery as she had a bad feeling.

While heading home, Shizuka got a text from her step brother, saying in slurred words he would be crashing at her place for a while. Shizuka paused as she was not expecting her drunk stepbrother to be staying with her. She bit the inside of her cheek in nervousness as she vividly remembered his outbursts. She was disappointed when her mother remarried to a normal person. The person her mother remarried to had a son who was older than Shizuka by two years. The son's name was Katashi. He was always aggressive when growing up with him, getting angry at almost everything. He dropped out of school and started stealing money from his dad, beginning his sad road of drinking his sorrows away.

Shizuka sighed as she wasn't ready to face him. Last time Shizuka faced Katashi was about a year ago. That was at her mother's funeral. He had gotten into a fight at the funeral as he showed up drunk and enraged Shizuka's mother left him barely any money.

On her way home, she couldn't shake the feeling someone was watching her. Walking faster, she bumped into a tall man with long black hair.

"Sorry, I should really watch where I'm going," the man apologised.

Shizuka bowed her head while signing sorry. The man caught on she couldn't speak as his smile widened.

"Have a good rest of your day," the man stated before leaving.

Shizuka mentally scolded herself for bumping into two people today, saying she needed to watch where she was going.

Upon getting to her apartment, Shizuka was shaking as her hand hovered over the doorknob.

-Your POV-
I opened the door after mentally preparing myself for the sight I would see. There lay Katashi on my couch, beer bottles scattered around the coffee table. I huffed under my breath before cleaning up the bottles in a bag. I was quiet as to not wake Katashi as he's quite frightening when awoken abruptly.

I mentally cursed to myself as once I reached for the beer bottle on the ground under the coffee table, I felt a harsh grasp on my wrist. My eyes widened as I immediately looked to Katashi, seeing him wide awake.

"Cleaning up the mess of the family drunk eh?" Katashi sneered before tugging me forward.

I shook my head no frantically as Katashi's grip tightened on my wrist.

"Get out of my sight."

Katashi released my arm before turning over on the couch and going back to sleep. My breathing was heavy as I stopped cleaning.

I left the bag of beer bottles near the trash can before heading to my room. I was getting ready for bed when my wrist still ached.

I hope it doesn't bruise...
