A change

Joanna's POV
We were about to enter the village when Alice put herself in my way.
"We need to get you a change of clothes."- she said
"Why? I don't want to wear a dress. I'm not definitively wearing a dress."
"You know that there are pants in here, right?Let's just get you some clothes, okay?"
"Okay. Are we going to a shop or something?"
"Not exactly..."- Alice said unexpectedly
"We are going to steal, aren't we?"
"Perhaps." - she said quietly - "Look, we can't go to a shop don't you think that the seller will find strange that you are dressed like that."- she said pointing to my outfit - "We need to be carefull."
I sighed - "Okay. Let's go. I've never been a thief you know, it's a new thing to me."
"We are not thieves. Thieves are bad people, we're not bad people."
"Not all the thieves are bad people. Robin Hood is a thief and he is not a bad guy. He steal from the riches to give to the poors."
"Robin who?" - she asked with a questioning face
"Never mind let's just get the clothes."- I said and started walking
"You don't even know where we are going"
"Then lead the way"- I said and let guide the way

"This pants are really difficult to put on, you know. This leather sticks to my body."
"I think you will like this shirt and this corset. I think they will suit you very well."
I came from behind the bush where I was putting my pants on and I saw Alice holding a brown leather corset and a blue shirt. She was right that would suit me.
"They're perfect. Thanks Alice - I hugged her pick the clothes and went behind the bush.
After I put on the clothes I came from behind the bush
"What do you think?"- I asked Alice
"You're perfect, but something is missing in that outfit." - she said with a smiling face
"What? How can it be missing something when this corset even have a support for weapons."
"If you can't have yours because it's to modern, you can have a older model of it. - she said while she give me a beautiful brown leather jacket
"I love it. Thank you Alice."
"You are welcome. We should get going. If we don't hurry up I will never get to Cyrus and you will never get to the castle."
"Do you really think my parents will be the castle?"- I asked her
"I think so. Where else would they go?"
"I don't know. But I'm not sure they would stay in the castle if the evil queen was out there looking for them. "- I answered her
"Going to the castle is your best chance to find them."
"You're right."-I said quickly
"I think we may be close to where Cyrus is. If we hurry up, we can get to him after sundown."- she said sounding excited
"Is that good, isn't it? It means we are getting closer to the castle too."
"Not exactly."-she said softly- "From here we would probably take seven days walking to get to the castle."
"But Cyrus is not here yet."
"Of course not but I think we are taking less time to get to him because he is walking in our direction. Which means w__
"That we will meet him in half of the way"- I said cutting her off
We continue walking silently for some minutes till Alice broke the silence.
"I'm sorry."-she said
"What?- I asked confused
"I'm sorry that I'm not going with you to the castle"- she blurted
"It's okay. I can go by my own till the castle I'll be alright."-I said
"But it's a long way and with many dangers. What if we find the queen? What will you do?"- she asked worried
"I'll be fine. I know how to take care of myself and your priority is to came back to your family. They're probably worried about you and Cyrus."
"I'm just concerned about you."- she stated
"I know you are. I'll be fine I promise you."
"Good" -she said happier
