As the chaos unfolded around us, I couldn't help but feel a sense of disbelief at the situation we found ourselves in.

I grasped the cold metal of the silver revolver, each shot echoing loudly in the mansion. Kahit na sobra ang kabog ng dibdib ko sa kaba ay hindi ako nagpatinig, I pull the trigger and shoot those who's trying to get closer to me— pati na rin ang mga papalapit sa kanila.

"Where the hell is Aedwulf?!" Dana shouted, I could here the frustration in her voice and panic.

Where is he? I don't see him anywhere. I glanced around, thinking that he might need help but I couldn't see him.

"I saw him getting his ex-girlfriend, probably he put to safe place." Sage answered.

"Fucking right now?!" Dana said in disbelief.

That's why! Lahat kami narito to, fighting for our lives— and he did what?! Couldn't be that angry though because he only help someone, but isn't that a bit unfair?

Hindi ko na pinansin pa ang inis na nararamdaman ko kay Aedwulf, even Dana is feeling the same way because she kept on cursing Aedwulf.

I focus on what ahead of me.

Beside me, Gray moved with a fluidity that bespoke years of training. His movements were calculated, precise, as he swiftly rescued the unconscious humans and guided them to safety on the side of the mansion but still fights.

Pero nakakapagtaka na sa lahat ng kaguluhang 'to, wala man lang kahit sinong nakakaalam... Even though this is the President's place, shouldn't there be some bodyguards or... they're also behind this?

And I couldn't see any sigh of police arriving. It was as if the world outside had ceased to exist.

"Shit! I have no bullets!" I told them. I put some in my thighs, but I had already used them all!

"Here!"

I turned to see Dana holding out a black box. Binato niya sa akin 'yun and when I open it, there's bullets inside.

"I knew you'd waste a lot of bullets." She rolled her eyes on me.

I don’t know if I should be thankful for her help or annoyed by her continued insults. Hindi ko na siya pinansin and I reloaded my revolver.

With every shot fired and every life saved, I reaffirmed our resolve to stand against the darkness.

"Acosta is running away!"

My heart raced as I found Matthias surrounded by the eerie, predatory presence of the enemy, trying to protect me. Their eyes gleamed with hunger in the dimly lit mansion. But Matthias was no stranger to danger, his instincts kicked in, and he didn't disappoint anyone because of his strength.

Meanwhile, Sage struggled against the relentless grip of the vampire. She gasped for air while the vampire's grip only tightened. Desperation fueled her as she fought against the overwhelming strength of her assailant, searching for any opportunity to break free.

Dana's eyes widened in horror as she witnessed Sage's situation. Without hesitation, she leaped into action. With quick, calculated movements, Dana assessed the situation, looking for any weakness to exploit in the vampire's hold on Sage.

And I charged through the mansion's corridors, my weapon drawn and my senses heightened. I fired round after round, each shot echoing through the air as I fought my way through the throng of vampires.
