Who is she? - I Monster
———————————
Am I in love with just a theme?
Or is Ayesha just a dream?
A mystery
Oh, who is she?-✮-
Your eyes feel heavy as all you can see is black inkiness, everything feels uncomfortably warm. The last thing you could remember was the face of a beautiful maroon-haired woman.
Your eyes snapped open, and the endless ink changed to a blue sky. You could feel the dirt on your back as you looked around the forest with awe.
You stand up and dusted off the jacket you had on, looking around at the tall trees, they reached great heights you could never dream of achieving.
As your eyes danced around the forest it suddenly came to mind that you couldn't remember how you got here, nor where you were supposed to be.
You looked to your left to see a graveled path that went uphill, turning your head back around to not see any easier way to leave your current predicament.
You set forth up the rocky hill, glad to have shoes on even if they were boots. Unfortunately for you, you weren't paying attention to your footing and you fell face-first into the gravel road.
You felt the jagged rocks each pierce your cheeks, digging into the layers of your flesh. The stones leave scratches on your cheeks and kneecaps.
You put your hands on the ground and push yourself up, small rocks and dust getting stuck to your palms. You dusted your hands off on your clothes looking down at your knees to see the scraping gone.
You hummed to yourself but chose to ignore it, you probably saw wrong.
You trekked onward up the hill, finally making it to the top. At the top of the hill lay a flower bed, each of varying colors and styles. You went to walk towards them until you heard feet hitting the ground in a quick manner.
You whipped your head in the direction of the steps to see something running at you. You dodge as quickly as you could, rolling to the ground and landing in the patch of the pretty flowers, crushing some of them under your back.
You look up at the thing that ran at you to see a half-man? He had a body just like yours, but his head was the head of a furry animal.
He charged at you again causing you to leap up from the flower bed and run away from him with him yelling behind you.
"You dare disturb the rest of the great king of the mountain!" He spoke a language you had never heard, yet still understood. He increased his speed in your direction, fearing for your life you saw a large rock in the near distance.
You slow down, skidding to a stop. You get your fingers under the rock, digging into the dirt, you pick it up with ease and throw the large boulder at him.
It hit him directly in the chest, throwing him to the floor. You could hear your heavy breathing as you stepped closer to the boar-man, hoping you didn't crush him to death when suddenly the boar started to cackle.
"Hahaha! Yes! That's the strength I want to go against! Once I get out from this rock we're gonna fight!" You couldn't help but look at the boar man with confusion.
The boar attempted to wiggle out from underneath the rock but didn't succeed. He let out a huff of annoyance and pointed at you.
"You! Get this thing off me so we can fight, fair and square!" You tilted your head but did as the boar man said, pinking the heavy rock up off his body.
The boar immediately jumped up to his legs and raised his fists to you, jumping up and down. "Alright let's go! And don't you dare go easy on me!"
He threw a punch that you barely dodged, swerving out of the way and almost tripping in the process. You backed up and put your hands up, attempting to look less threatening.
"Wait- could you help me? I don't where I am, and I don't remember any-" He threw another punch at you, not caring about your story.
You dodged again, backing up once more. "Please, I don't want to fight you-
Boar-man?" He laughed and threw another punch at you, at this point you were fed up with him not listening to you.You gave a swift kick to his side, him stumbling off his slightly crushed legs. "Stop it, I'm not trying to fight you. I just want to know where I am."
The boar looks up at you for a good few minutes, a blank expression on his piggy face. After a while he started laughing again. "I see, I see! You're not here to fight, you're here to give me an offering!"
You looked at him with wide eyes, that was nothing like what you had just said. At some point you just shook your head and sighed, annoyed this was the first person you interacted with.
"So devoted follower, what's your name?" You give him a small smile, happy you two were now having an actual conversation.
"I am (Y/n)."
The boar stared at you again for a little, but instead of waiting this time you decorated to break him from his daze. "Is there something wrong? You're looking at me kinda funny..."
The boar man suddenly fell backwards on the dirt floor, you looked at him with worry, did you hurt him that much? But as you looked at the boar you could tell he just got bored of your conversation and fell asleep.
You sighed and looked around spotting a nearby cave. You picked the boar man up and carried him over to the cave, setting him down and sitting next to him.
Talking to this boar had not helped you in any way, you still had no idea where you were and you didn't even know who this boar was! You had made zero progress.
But sitting in a cave next to him and looking up at the sunset, made things just a bit better.

- You and Inosuke will be journeying together for little while.
- If you had gone into the woods instead of up the rocky path you would have found a certain burgundy haired boy training for the final selection.
