Destiny.

I arrived on campus just before freshman orientation.

I texted my mom to tell her I arrived. I got my suitcase and signed it.

I got a key to my dorm and took the elevator.

3rd floor.

"One. Two. Three. Four. Yep this is it." I mumbled to myself.

The dorm was two bed on each side. One half was already unpacked.

I guess my dorm mate came already.

I closed the door behind me and start putting my clothes into the drawers.

"Hey! I am Alexa, but people call me lex!" A chirpy voice said.

I smiled.

"Hey Alexa. I am Destiny and my family calls me D-Bird." I replied

"You are so pretty. We will become great friends." She spoke.

"Thank you. I think we will too."

After a while Alexa showed me the basics and places around campus.

We were at the dining hall where we were eating lunch.

"Beware of those boys over there, especially August." She said to me.

I looked to where she pointed.

A group of handsome looking boys.

"Why?" I asked munching on my French fries.

"Well, August has some history with the ladies. He will sleep with them, let them catch feelings and dump them like honey in some tea." She answered.

"Don't worry. I don't believe in love." I assured her.

"Aww. Just be careful. Those boys nearly slept with the half of campus. Except for me." She said.

We finished eating and left. I couldn't get my mind away from this August guy.

This semester is gonna be interesting.
