Chapter-6 A Shoulder to Lean On

Ayanokoji POV:

"Honami-chan is missing"

"huh?"

"Look, the school trip is over already, right? So we decided to get together with every one of our class and chat until lights out, but we couldn't find Honami, so we were worried".

A good number of people were searching for her, and even as we spoke, the girls from class D  were hurriedly walking beside Amikura

"Honami's yukata is here only so that means she is outside" One of the girls spoke

"WHAT?? But it's so late already.... and soon the inn will close" Amikura looked so distressed

If she is alone right now in the outside that could really be a big problem, it was certainly a bit troublesome that Ichinose was absent at this time of night. I should look for her

"I should again check the bathhouse" One of the girls spoke

"Please Ayanokoji if you find her let me know" With that she left from here in a hurry

"Where she could be now?" I wondered

I looked out from the hallway of the ryokan and saw it was snowing and the temperature was at - degrees Celsius, If she is really outside the ryokan she can catch a cold

There are many places where she can go now but according to me she would like to go to a place which is restricted at night so no one can be around her

I went to my room and put on some clothes before heading out of the ryokan, I saw a hill nearby and also saw a board that said 'It is dangerous to enter after 8 pm'.

Ichinose is alone right now so she wouldn't want to go too far from here and since the hill is close to the ryokan she would probably go there so, she can easily return to the ryokan on time before 9 o'clock.

The snow started falling heavily and the temperature was also falling, it was becoming extremely cold.

"I have to get her soon," I thought to myself and climbed the hill.

Light footprints were visible on the ground, which were being pushed due to the snow. After climbing for some time, I reached a flat peak, from there the view was visible the true beauty of Hokkaido was shown from here and there on a bench I saw a girl with long peachy blonde hair sitting alone.

I found her.

I went and sat near her, she did not even notice my presence because she was so engrossed in her thoughts. I wonder what she was thinking probably about her class I guess

"Can I sit here?" I asked her snapping out of her thoughts

she looked at me and got surprised "A-ayanokoji-kun!"

"Why did you come here, did you also want to see the beautiful view here like me?" she asked nervously

"Ya" I then sit beside her

There was a silence for a couple of minutes between us before I spoke "From how long you had been here?"

"Maybe 5 minutes" Of course it was obvious that she was lying to me

"souka"

"Well actually I came here because Amikura and others were making a fuss that they couldn't find you".

She chuckled "Maybe I should have informed them".

"I think I should tell her or she'll get more worried." I picked up my phone and sent a message to Amikura that I found Ichinose and immediately after, she replied to me with a thumbs up and thanks.
