The only thing you could hear was the snow crunching underneath your boots, your thick astronaut costume being your only sense of warmth.
You've been sent by JcJenson In Spaaaaacee (Yes, written that way) to explore the ruins of Copper 9 to send in updates.
Spoiler alert, you underestimated how cold it was over there.
Now here you are, pathetically rubbing your arms with your hand, mentally praying that you'll not die of hyperthermia.
You sighed, wondering why they thought you—an intern— could be befitting of this job, last time you were given the task of fixing a... droner? Worker? Worker drone, their head comically blew.
Holy crap you sucked at this.
You were surprised you weren't fired yet.
As you looked up through your slightly foggy visor, you could make out some type of tower that seemed out of place... yet it felt like it belonged there...
Though a part of your head screamed at you to run, you (being the dumb protagonist) decided to approach it. Who knows, maybe you'll find—
*BOOM!*
A large gust of wind pushed you back, causing you to land harshly on your back, the snow cushioning your fall. You raised yourself with your elbow, wanting to see what in the FOOK (yes fook. Not fuck. I said what I said (/reference (ifykyk))) made that...
You trailed off your thoughts, seeing a figure when huge wings staring down at you. You instinctively scooted away, but all that went in vain when a yellow 'X' lit up in what seemed to be their eyes as they grinned maliciously, showing their sharp fangs.
"Please... Whatever you are... Don't do this! I... I got a family to go back to!" You begged, raising your hands in a bad attempt to calm them down.
"Ahaha..." They giggled. They raised their head, making you notice their short grayish-white hair and even more of that... face. "That terror in your face... You must be sooo scared, aren't you?" They held a feminine-sounding voice, one that seemed both falsely securing and off-putting.
They put what seemed to be their hand at first, your eyes widening as their hand spun into her arm, and out came a rifle.
"No... NO... PLEA—"
The last thing you remembered was a loud bang, a bright life,
And pure nothing.
