Ae Ajnabi

Naina was standing in Brigadier's office explaining about the terrorist attack that happened a few hours ago. Brigadier praised her for handling the situation so bravely and saving team members lives. Her face lightened by praise and asked about the team's condition especially of the major who was in bad shape when she left him. He informed her that the major is fine but needs to be in the infirmary for a few days. Also, ordered her to go to the infirmary to check the wound and to take a leave for tomorrow as she is still in shock. Naina nodded and after saluting him left his office. She took a deep breath when came out as the brain was spinning of what happened a few hours ago or is it because she saw him. That person who she waited for the last five years but is still her Rajveer Sir.

Her steps halted when going to the infirmary as saw Rajveer still standing near the jeep and talking to the same woman. Naina noticed that he was trying to control his anger. She couldn't hear them as they were a little bit far but can understand that the woman was pleading and he was just trying to get out of there. Still, its sad to see them together and leave the place.

In the infirmary after getting the wound bandaged, Naina asked about the major's room. The nurse pointed towards a room on the left. She didn't hear anything after knocking on the door, peeked in and saw him sleeping. So, decides to come in the morning to check on him. When turned around to go back, got glued to her position as her love and life was standing so close to her. He was looking at her intently as trying to confirm that she is Naina.

Rajveer's eyes were moving from her eyes to nose to lips and chin. Naina shivered by his stare and walked past him. He was not believing it was really his Naina who was missing from these years but was also frustrated as she is not talking or shouting at him for leaving her alone.

He with quick steps went after but Naina ran to her room and closed the door. She didn't want to see him as was afraid of how would react. She was sitting hugging her legs on the floor but kept looking at the door. Her mind was asking to shout at him for leaving her while heart wanted to hug him tight, so, that he did not leave again. Naina groaned as to why it's so confusing. The footsteps sound was more clearer now and then heard a knock. She knew who was there but still didn't open it. It got knocked again and after a few minutes, the gate was opened and saw him entering in. Rajveer finds her sitting near the door and looking at him with pain and fear. He didn't like when Naina was like this. He bent down on his knees to be at the same height as her and asked in deep voice

Rajveer : "Naina, puchogi nahi mujhe se kaha tha main itne saal".

Naina (said blankly) : "Zindagi nae bina sawalo kae jina sikha diya hain".

Rajveer just stared at her and understood what she was trying to say. She is reminding him of what he told her while teaching her dance when asked why he helped her to get back in the academy. But thought she was trying to tell him whether he is alive or not it doesn't matter to her. He felt someone had stabbed his heart and tears were forming in his eyes. He wants to touch her to make him believe, it's really Naina who wanted to feel. He lifted his hand to touch her but Naina pushed her head back and looked at his five stars on shoulders then into his eyes.

Naina (without emotions) : "Lieutenant Colonel Shekhawat, itni der raat ko aapki kisi female officer kae room mae nahi hona chaiye".

Rajveer was glancing at her and trying to grasp what she just said is she is asking him to leave. They have seen each other after so many years but Naina is not asking how he is, where he was and why he didn't come earlier. He stood up and pulled her up in a jerk. She got scared of his glare and balanced herself. Rajveer's anger was increasing by each second and brought her closer to him. He looked into her eyes with pain and anger.

Rajveer (in a scary voice) : "Tum mujhe bataogi ki main tumhare (inhaled a breath) kisi female officer kae room mae itni raat ko nahi hona chaiye".

Naina tried to move away from him as his breaths were fanning on her face and his stare was making her weak. Rajveer didn't let her go anywhere and hold her more tightly. She winced as he was putting pressure on the wound. He loosened the grip and cursed himself for forgetting that she was shot a few hours ago.

Naina (softly) : "Lt. Colonel Shekhawat, please jaiye aap yaha se verna aap ka naam kharab ho jaayega. (dryly chuckled) Mujhe toh adat hain logo ki baatein aur nazro ko jhelne ki".

Rajveer felt a complaint but also a concern for him. She is trying to save his image but also complaining about leaving her alone to listen to people's taunts, disgusting comments on her character or the way they looked at her. His veins were filled in rage and wanted to punch everyone who said these things or tried to hurt her. He caressed her face and said

Rajveer (pleadingly) : "Please Naina kuch toh bolo, chilao mujh pe ya koso. Main taras raha hu tumhare gusse ko aur mujh par tumhare haq jatane ko".

Naina felt a relief when he touched her as felt someone had put an ointment on her wound but why is it not feeling that the wound will be healed. She moved her face and then removed herself from him.

Naina (sadly looked at him) : "Please leave me alone. I need to rest. Shayad, aap ka koi intezaar kar raha hoga".

Rajveer stared at her with pain and then left her room. He thought to talk to her properly tomorrow as she was looking tired as what happened earlier and maybe in shock to see him after so many years.

Naina locked the door, pulled herself to bed and sat there. She was still not believing that he was alive and did not contact her. After a few minutes, she stood up and got changed then came to bed to sleep but was not able to as he is here. That man who has become so important to her that she didn't allow any other man to be near to her. For him, she was the most important but today is not as he has other people in his life.

Rajveer was going to his room smilingly as saw her after years but it was gone when realise she was not looking happy. He unlocked his room's  door and stepped in. When switching on the light, then remembered what Naina said before he left. Is she thinks I have someone in my life. He laughed at her stupidity as how can she say this, doesn't she know him. But did she see him with........Rajveer close eyes and cursed himself for talking to that woman. He was about to go and explain it to her but saw the clock on the wall, it was 11. So, it will be better to talk to her tomorrow as there are many things that he has to tell her.

He won't sleep today as met his love but also because she didn't show her rights or shouted at him. There was no concern or yearning for him in her voice and that was scaring Rajveer the most
