WAKING UP, her eyes tried to adjust to morning sunshine that was creeping in from the window. A groan escaped her throat as she hid her face back under the covers.

She wondered if her memories of last night were true or an illusion from her overworked brain. But as soon as she heard the music that was blasting from the room across of hers, she knew that last night had truly happened.

Mia tried to cover her ears with her pillow but after a few minutes, the chestnut haired girl realized it was no use. She laid on her back staring at the ceiling for a few seconds before pushing her blankets off her body. Her feet hitting the cold floor as she let out a groan.

The Hall girl marched out of her room and stood in front of the stray's room. Her knuckles hit the door three times as she awaited for an reaction. The door swung open and the boy she had met earlier was looking back at her. A sly smirk on his face as he leaned on the doorway, "I knew you couldn't resist my charm."

The 4 inch shorter girl rolled her eyes as she folded her arms, "No, I can't resist that god awful shit you call music. So, turn it down." Jason could only let out a chuckle as he swore he had never met a girl that uptight. While Mia swore up and down she had never met someone so arrogant, "Or I'll do it myself."

If looks could kill, Jason would've been 6 feet down. But that killer look couldn't stop Jason, at least not his ego. The raven haired boy looked at the teal eyed girl with a grin plastered on his face, "It's amazing to finally meet the girl behind the mask."

Mia could feel her temper rise. It wasn't because of the comment he made. It was because he was standing there, trying to replace her best friend without even caring. "Good, now turn that shit down," The girl snapped at him as she put her hand on her hip.

Jason could feel the anger radiating off of her. It caused something in him to slightly snap. "And what exactly is your deal?" He said fed up as he clenched his jaw. His once charming attitude leaving when he noticed it wouldn't loosen up the girl in front of him.

Now Mia was the one smirking, "You." Seeing his face twist in anger gave her some form of satisfaction as her smirk only grew.

Jason looked her up and down before folding his arms over his chest, "Still mad I'm gonna take over the mantel?" his snarky comment made her smirk slightly falter as his grew once again. He took a small step closer to her, "Or is it you think I'm gonna replace your best friend?"

And that's what did. She dropped her hands to her side and her smirk turned into a hard look. Her eyes flickering to the record player before looking back at Jason.

Without giving it much more thought, Mia's eyes turned a vibrant shade of violet as purple hues covered her hand. And with a flick of a wrist Jason could hear something being smashed behind him. The boy turned around to see what once was his record player in pieces next to his dresser.
