MIA WAS WALKING through the halls of the Titans Tower. Her fingers lingering on the wall as she made it through the halls to Garth's room. Entering his room, she breathed in. His scent still hanging in the air as if he had never left.

Something in her was hoping he would walk in as if nothing had happened. As if he wasn't dead. She felt her eyes sting as tears formed. She knew it wouldn't happen. But god did she pray for it.

She could hear footsteps come closer until her brother emerged in the doorway. He didn't say anything and just sat next to her on the bed. The siblings were quiet, silently enjoying each other's presence.

"He's not coming, Mia," Hank quietly said as he put a hand on her shoulder. Garth had been gone for a week now. Everyone was packing while Mia was consistently waiting in Garth's room for any type of miracle. And it broke his heart to see his sister like that. Holding on to a person who wasn't going to ever come back. "It's time to go."

Tears slowly spilled, staining her cheeks. She shook her head, not looking at Hank. "I can't. I- I can't leave. Not when the only memories I have of hi- him are here," The younger Hall sibling stuttered.

Her teary eyes shifted to a picture frame that contained a picture of him and her. She was sitting on his shoulder with a smile plastered on her face while he looked up at her with a cheeky smile. She remembered that day vividly. They snuck out to sit at the beach, only this time Dawn went with them. And snapped a picture of them.

Hank's eyes followed hers and a small smile made it's way on his face, "You guys always snuck out." Mia let out a soft laugh as more tears rolled down a her cheeks. "It used to drive Dick crazy. Because he thought he wasn't your favorite."

She nodded as she let out a chuckle, "It's because he wasn't." She looked at her older brother with tears in her eyes as she gave him a small smile, "Garth was." He was. That was all she needed to say to lose all the hope she tried to hold on too. Was. The word was running through her mind. Was. Was. Was. It finally dawned on her that he was never coming back.

Her waterline wasn't able to hold the tears anymore. It was like a dam had broke and all the water finally spilled. Sobs left her mouth as she cried. Hank's heart broke even more for his little sister as she finally cried for the first time after Garth's death. He held her close as she sobbed in his chest. His hand caressing her hair, "It's okay. It's gonna be okay."

"No! No! He's gone! Garth is gone!" She cried out as she violently shook her head. Hank could only hold her close. Truly he didn't know what to do. He had never seen her like that. Not even when their parents had died.
