Lights- derogatory nickname for any Police force

Magbelt- A large strip of magnetic material built into the rail-system for high-speed trains

Magstrip- small strips of magnetic material used in cars and hoverbikes

Mag-Trav- Railway system that utilizes over and underground tunnels and magnetic rails

Mech-droid: Mechanical technician android

Medsurge- Also named Medsurg or simply surg, is the process of undergoing a surgical operation

Milli- Alternately, Millies; derogatory term for smaller military groups

MyScreen- any personal device with a screen; another name for / equivalent to current day phones, tablets, televisions, radios, etc. Can also refer to a profile on The Ice (See The Ice)

Netscreen- small handheld devices akin to modern day cellphones with transparent backs, popularized around the Modern Way Period

Net-top: Foldable device akin to current day laptops, can also refer to devices with detachable / retractable keyboards

Portscreen- larger devices akin to modern day tablets and laptops. Also applies to television screens. Usually has transparent or translucent casing; popularized around the Modern Way Period: also named port-desks and net-ports

Teratran- Permanent transgender/transvestite medical intervention that allows an individual to transition medically without having to continuously take hormones for life. difficult to reverse without equally arduous procedures, named after the phrase "The Era of Transformation"

Terminal- Any electrical device that provides an exchange of services, though most commonly used to refer to common-day public reception desks, booths, or ATMs, it can also be used to describe monitors on desks, laptops, ID scanners, and other such devices

The Ice- Equivalent to current day internet. Made after the Nuclear winter caused a massive blackout and both corrupts and wipes-out all previous versions of the internet. Efforts were made to salvage what was left and turned into The Ice Network, or simply "Ice". Accounts made on The Ice are Ice Accounts but can be referred to MyScreens.

Wallscreen- as the name implies, a large screen placed over or embedded into a wall. While typically a permanent fixture, they can be removed and installed somewhere else. Usually seen in community centers, lobbies, and other public facilities
