Post war life:
Because of the short nuclear winter following the events of the First Nuclear war, sea levels decreased and froze over, leaving once flooded or well surrounded islands with more landmass that would later be accounted for in the revised world map. The total climate of Earth had decreased several degrees, and pushed back human populations, civilisations, and advances in technology due to the efforts to keep from going extinct. With the remnants of the First Nuclear war coming to a close and the emergence of a new generation of human with strange mutations in lieu of the war, traits which were predicted to pass onto offspring in some cases, came the adaptation of humans to colder climate conditions. Post the Cetrith war and during the climax of the Rebuilt Global War, humans where no longer dealing with extreme acid rainfall, hurricanes and tsunamis brought on by disruptions in the oceans, earthquakes, and other disasters natural and otherwise, and began their slow recovery to a pre-war life.
Roughly 96% of the human population had died during the war period, the death toll at the highest during First Nuclear, killing off most of the formerly known Chinese commonwealth, Bhutan and Kyrgyzstan populations, with famine as the leading cause of death.
Efforts made by the Humanitarian Council under order of Gillian Effervescence Fjord to unite smaller countries have led to the renaming of hundreds of countries, and the union of hundreds more, as people scraped together what little community they had and hoped to bring together.
