I walked down the dark halls of the castle, and one of my savants fallowed me. A servat with red skin black, black horns and long white hair fallowed me. The other savants stayed behind, guarding the throne. As I reached the end of the hall I could hear faint whispers. I knew they were talking about me and my pregnancy. It seemed to be the talk of the town know. An overlord was pregnant with the king's child.
I pushed open the door to the map room. It was lined with shelves, each one full of scrolls and maps. In the center of the room was a large table, covered in even more maps and papers. The room was lit by the soft glow of a fireplace, casting shadows across the walls.
"My lady," a savant said, bowing his head. "What may I do for you?" He had black skin, braied black hair, and black eyes.
I turned to him, my expression serious. "I need you to convince the king to let me go to the human world."
"But my lady, he needs to permit you."
I took a deep breath, trying to control my anger. "I know that. But I want you to find a way. You must convince him."
My savant bowed his head again. "Yes, my lady. I will see what I can do."
As he left the room, I wandered over to one of the shelves, running my fingers along the spines of the scrolls. I wanted to go and see the portal and take a step through it. It was even less likely that he would let me go with the baby.
I heard a soft knock on the door, and my savant reentered. His expression was grim, and I knew already that the king had refused my request.
"My lady," he began, "the king is adamant that you remain here. He says that traveling to the human world is too dangerous, especially now that you are with child."
I felt a stab of pain in my abdomen, and I gripped the shelf tightly to steady myself. The king's words echoed in my head, filling me with despair. "What am I supposed to do?" I whispered. "I can't stay here. I can't raise a child in this world."
"He said that it isn't your child, it's his."
I looked up sharply at my savant, my eyes burning with anger and hurt. "What?"
"It's not my place but in the past, after his wife had a child, he lived with them but if the child was weak or dumb he killed both of them."
My heart felt like it had stopped beating. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. "He would do that?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
"He is the King of hell my lady."
I stormed out of the door and into Masaru's office.
"You would do that?" I screamed. "You would kill the child. After you were the one who wanted this cursed thing!"
Masaru's expression hardened. "It is not my wish for such a thing to happen, but it is the way of our world," he said coldly. "You should have known this before you agreed to mate with me. You have been repeatedly warned about the consequences of your actions."
"I never wanted you! I never wanted to die! I never wanted to leave Gerald! You always make it seem like I wanted this! I may not have wanted you, but I didn't want this tragedy. Talk about twisting the truth, you're the master of making me the villain in my own story."
Masaru's expression twisted into a sneer. "You are a fool, Eliz. You have always been a fool. You chose your path, and you must now face the consequences. Your selfishness has brought nothing but misery upon you and everyone around you."
"You were the one who 'Bought' my soul! Everything I have ever done in hell was because of your orders!"
"And yet, you continue to defy me. You have spat in the face of our contract. You have defied the will of the king. Do you truly wish to see what fate awaits you?" Masaru said, his voice dangerously low.
I felt a chill run down my spine. "I will find a way out of here, with or without your help," I said, my voice steady despite my trembling.
"Your weak compared to me." And then, without warning, he lunged at me, his claws extended. I screamed and tried to dodge, but he was too fast, his strength overwhelming. He pinned me to the wall, his hot breath in my ear. "You will learn to obey me," he hissed, "or you will suffer the consequences."
I struggled against him, but it was no use. His strength was overpowering, and his claws dug painfully into my shoulders. "Let me go!" I screamed, tears streaming down my face. "I'll do anything you say, just let me go!"
He laughed, the sound cruel and mocking. "Oh, I doubt that," he said, his voice still low and dangerous. "I think you underestimate how much I enjoy this. You are mine, Eliz. You will obey me, and you will accept your fate. There is no escape from me."
I struggled against him, my breath coming in ragged gasps. "Please, Masaru." His grip tightened, and I felt a fresh surge of pain in my abdomen. It was hard to move with my large stumic, and I knew that I was running out of strength. "Please, Masaru," I whispered, my voice breaking. "You don't have to do this. I'll do anything you say."
He leaned closer, his face mere inches from mine. "You'll accept your fate," he growled. "You'll raise my child." His breath was hot against my ear. "You'll be the perfect mate, the perfect queen of hell. You will never leave and I will banish Gerald as soon as he dies and goes down here to hell
"You will forget about him and focus on me. You will love me and our child and you will be happy here." His voice was soft, almost seductive, but there was an undercurrent of menace that sent shivers down my spine.
As he spoke, I could feel the weight of his words pressing down on me, making it difficult to breathe. I knew that I was trapped, that I had no choice but to obey him. I wanted so desperately to go back to Gerald, to our life together, but I knew that was impossible now.
With a final, painful squeeze, he released me, stepping back. I slumped to the floor, my shoulders burning and my abdomen aching. "You have one chance to prove your loyalty to me, Eliz," he said, his voice cold.
"I understand," I managed to whisper, my voice hoarse from the struggle.
Masaru smiled, a cruel expression that sent a shiver down my spine. "Good," he said, his voice softening. He walked out of the room and left me on the floor, my stumic burning with pain. Were was all that spirt I had while I was alive. I geuss seven years in hell really dose fuck you up. Three sevants came rushing in with a doctor to see if I needed help.
I waved them away. "I'm fine," I said, my voice hoarse. "Just give me a moment." They exchanged glances, but finally left me alone. I took a deep breath, trying to steady my shaking hands.
Masaru's words echoed in my head, his cold command ringing through my thoughts like a death knell. The doctor insited on takeing my pulce and I didnt have the strength to argue.
The weight of my decision pressed down on me, making it difficult to breathe. I had no choice but to obey Masaru, to raise his child and be the perfect mate in this hellish existence. The thought of Gerald, my love, my life, filled me with a deep ache that seemed to reach all the way down into my very soul.
