seriously my headcanon is that after the jangles nightmare fear REFUSES to do dream duty but everyone else is like "buddy you can't be the only one not doing dream duty" so currently the system is that joy does it with him.
somehow, (because i'm a sucker for starnerve; i gave the warning a while ago and one-shots will be coming) this basically turned into them having "dates"at like 3 in the morning but they both insist it's nothing. besides while i headcanon that fear fell first i also headcanon that he's too shy to admit his feelings and joy's just oblivious and/or in denial
