September 1st, 1999
Gon, Killua, and Leorio meet up in Yorknew City and begin to earn money with an arm-wrestling competition.

When the moon was setting and the first rays of the rising sun hit my skin, I immediately jumped up and sprinted towards the bustling streets of Yorknew City.

"Fucking finally...that night felt way too long." I sighed in exasperation.

Don't get me wrong, I love the moon and I often felt myself swimming in serenity under the light, but that also made the time stretch infinitely longer when I was staring at him. Sorry Moonie, but I really felt so excited to visit a new place that the waiting started to get unbearable. At least this made the moment I finally could enter the city all the more anticipating.

First off, I really needed to get something to eat or I'm going to get in a more bad mood than a good one. The hard part about this is going to be; where to start? There were so many different scents already I could pick up when I entered one of the busy streets in the city.

Okay maybe this was a little too overwhelming at once after the night of the full moon. Besides the many various scents, there was so much noise that my still sensitive senses felt overwhelmed. A honking of another car made me wince and back up into a more secluded area or rather alley. I sighed in relief and massaged my temples before darting my eyes around my location.

It was a small street with mostly small shops or closed off apartments, there was almost no one walking around here and I felt glad for that. That way I could take another deep breath to collect myself and this time I picked up a very prominent smell.

A very delicious one.

Another sigh left my lips as soon as my stomach decided to make a whale mating call in the middle of the street. Well can't help it when your body needs what it needs. Before happiness could even engulf me at the sight of the small little restaurant, my eyes widened in shock upon not feeling any of the money in the pocket of my jeans.

Oh nononono-

Quickly I checked my other pockets too, I even checked my bra in desperation but nothing. The only thing left in my pockets were the wrappings of the lollipops I usually had with me.

If this is karma, I don't find it funny at all. This was torture. The unbearable amount of teasing I can't stand. Mouth watering food was right in front of me but I couldn't eat it. Why is fate testing my patience again?

With a low snarl I crumpled the paper back into my pocket and begrudgingly kept walking with heavy steps. That's not how I thought I would start my day in a new place. Already losing the little money I had? Wow Selene, great job. You really have it going, at best start stealing again.

Rolling my eyes silently, I left the small cute alley and looked back so I would eventually remember it when coming back for the amazing smell of the food. A sad sigh left my lips before I forced myself to turn around again and keep walking until I was among the many other people.

7:46 pm

Before I knew it, the sun already started to set and the city got even more lively the more the sky darkened.

"Aish...I didn't realize that so much time passed." I mumbled to myself. What have I even done until this point?

I lost my money, stared longingly at food, chased a cat, provoked some street punks and now I'm roaming the streets without a specific goal. It feels like I'm stranded although I decided to come here.

Let's see if I can find something before I get bored, anything but that. If there is one of the worst things besides waiting, then it is boredom. Both are things I got confronted with in my training and I'm gonna be honest. I would always rather take the physical pain than any of this.
