chapter three. call me.
For someone who had never watched a Grand Prix, Althea was on an adrenaline rush. The sound of the engines rumbling, surrounded by Red Bull's team and engineers, Althea felt nervous. It was only after the race; not that she was surprised that it was a Red Bull 1-2 with a Carlos Sainz in 3rd.
From what Augustine had told her, Red Bull had been dominating the sport and Ferrari was always close behind.
She clings to Augustine's arm as they weave towards the crowds; finding their spot closest to the podiums; Augustine's eyes neatly focused on Max.
Althea catches Sergio's gaze and grins. "Felicidades." she mouths at her cousin and he grins; the Dutch anthem filling their ears.
For a second, Althea feels proud. She wasn't into the sport but something about seeing her family on that podium was pleasing.
But before she realizes it, Augustine had disappeared just as fast as she had appeared.
"Augustine!" she calls out. "Augus..." she gets cut off as Willa pulls her into a hug.
"Althea! There you are!" Willa says excitedly. "The drivers are at the pen!" Willa explains as she drags Althea through a crowd of people, swarmed by people with cameras and microphones.
Willa waves at Charles as they approach the pen. "Charles, this is Althea!" she explains. "She's Checo's cousin, and here with me and Augustine."
Althea waves awkwardly as she greets Charles who laughs. "Nice to meet you." Althea says as she looks around the pen and glances at Willa. "I'm going to walk around!" she shouts over the sound of people.
Willa gives her a thumbs up and Althea disperses; finding the person Augustine had bet on shouldn't have been that hard.

Its just as she walks past Lance Stroll that she sees him; he's even better looking after a race, with touseled hair and disheveled. Something about how the racing suit was unzipped and he was somewhat breathless had her attention... until he catches her gaze.
