Emelia was shocked, "Lead!?" She shouted in her mind. Last year she never truly saw Lead's face since he always went out of his way to cover it, tinted glasses and a facemask, "well he still wears tinted glasses.." Emelia thought to herself.
A few minutes later a teacher arrived, "sorry I'm late" she says. "I'm Ms. Turner" she spoke as she wrote her name to the board, "I will be your class advisor and Chemistry Teacher. "Well then from the first row stand up and introduce yourselves".
One by one Emelia's classmates stand up and make the same mundane introductions as everyone else. It's her turn and she stands up and introduces herself like everyone else, "I'm Emelia 17 years old turning 18 5 months from now in November...". After she finishes she sat down just waiting for the introduction to be over. Amongst the crowd of her classmates she can't help but focus on the introduction of Lead even though she forces herself to ignore it to no avail, it's like her ears are filtering all the voices but Lead's voice.
After the introduction Ms. Turner gave out Pre-Tests and left. Soon other subject teachers also arrived and the same routine repeated until the end of the day.
Emelia walks home with her friends seemingly distracted on the way.
