FeatherTail trembled with fear as she crouched on the small ledge near the roof of the cave. Screams and Wails of cats erupted at the bottom as she watched in horror as SharpTooth vigorously terrorized the Tribe of Rushing Water. But through all the madness something stuck out to FeatherTail, her ears twitched as she heard a whisper forming into words. Those whispers, they were the same ones she had been hearing. But this time, their words were clear. FeatherTail's muscles tensed as she realized what they were saying, "FeatherTail, it's you.. You're the silver cat." FeatherTail remained calm even though she was terrified. She had just fallen in love with CrowPaw, they were almost ready to head back to the forest! They almost were going to make it home. But, if she stood back any longer they would all be dead. It was clear what she had to do, and she had to do it quickly. FeatherTail shoved back any doubts as far away into her mind as she could. The silver she scanned the cave searching for anything that could help defeat the raging monster below, suddenly she spotted it. That could work, it was a pillar of pointed stone that faced towards the ground. If she could leap at it and tear it down it would definitely kill SharpTooth. FeatherTail took a deep breath, she looked around at her brother, CrowPaw, the tribe cats scattering, and the rest of the cats who had been with her so far. No matter the consequence of what she was about to do, it would be worth it. She gave CrowPaw an affectionate lick on the cheek, and looked at StormFur, her expression was full of sorrow and love. FeatherTail began to mutter. "CrowPaw..." FeatherTail paused, taking one last deep breath. "I am able to hear the whispers clearly now," she murmurred. "This is for me to do." FeatherTail bunched up her muscles ready to pounce at the pillar of stone. Starclan, please make the rest of the journey safe for them if I do not make it... FeatherTail wished one last prayer to her warrior ancestors before letting out a furious yowl. She unsheathed her claws and launched herself forward. Everything slowed down, it seemed as if this moment was going to last forever. She felt the presence of someone next to her, she recognized a cat standing in the cave that she hadn't seen before. It was a beautiful she that looked similar to FeatherTail. It didn't take long for FeatherTail to piece it together. It was her mother, SilverStream. Have you come to take me home, mom? Before FeatherTail knew she was falling down with the pillar she heard a loud crash. Her lips curled into a smile. I did it. I saved them. I saved them all. Suddenly, FeatherTail felt a quick shot of excruciating pain shoot through her body. Then darkness. Black. Everything went black.
(TimeSkip, it seemed quick to the other 5 but not to FeatherTail)
FeatherTail felt a paw jab her as she blinked consciously opening her eyes. Am I alive? FeatherTail rose to her paws, she let out a loud gasp as she saw her limp body as cats crowded around it. FeatherTail stumbled backwards and accidentally slammed into another cat. She heard a chuckle behind her and whipped around her tail twitching with confusion. "Hello my dear, I'm glad I finally got to meet you. Although it is much too soon then it should have been.." SilverStream purred, rasping her tongue over FeatherTail's ear. "Are you my mother..?" FeatherTail questioned warily, feeling oddly comforted by the beautiful she cats gesture. SilverStream stepped back and nodded slowly. "Yes I am, I died while giving birth to you and StormFur... I've come to bring you home with me to StarClan." SilverStream purred kindly to FeatherTail. "So I really am dead..." FeatherTail turned around watching the cats sadly, specifically CrowPaw and StormFur. "I'm glad they're safe at least." FeatherTail seemed to be choking back tears, it was hard to tell whether she was crying tears of joy or tears of sorrow, maybe both? SilverStream walked up slowly next to FeatherTail. "Shh, it's alright dear... you still get to watch over them, it's just from far away.." SilverStream rasped her tongue over the young warrior's ear in a comforting manner. SilverStream stepped back as FeatherTail stood staring at CrowPaw and StormFur, they were both looking directly at her, she knew they could only she the faintest light of her, yet she still spoke. She knew her reassurance would push them farther than silence. FeatherTail blinked, focusing her eyes on StormFur, her eyes shined with love and sorrow. Yet a new found wisdom shone in them as she purred."You need to go home without me, StormFur" she murmured "Save the Clan!" She then looked a CrowPaw, a lifetime of love shone in her eyes. "Think you have nine lives now do you..?" FeatherTail chuckled with a whisper. "I have saved you once already... don't make me do it again." FeatherTail purred. She watched as CrowPaw broke into tears, the apprentice struggled to force words out. "FeatherTail.. FeatherTail No! Please don't leave me!" CrowPaw hissed as tears rolled down his face. FeatherTail walked towards CrowPaw, pushing her ghostly muzzle into his flank. "I won't." The silver she whisper lovingly as her voice was becoming more and more quiet. "I will always be with you CrowPaw, I promise." FeatherTail took one last long loving look at CrowPaw before closing her eyes and stepping back to join her mother. She watched as the cats mourned and saw StormFur glance her and SilverStream. Then he blinked and we were gone.
