"Each narrative showcases multiple perspectives, however, what implications arise when the story is fragmented into various segments?"
"|Rooptarashi re kuheli Bolbona tumi amar Majhe majhe kotha jay Kalo kalo jangale Jodi na dhore rakho more Tumi niye jabe akashe|"
[Oh, cuckoo, with your beautiful form You never say you're mine In between, words sometimes flow In the dark forest If you don't hold me You will take me to the sky]
(1786' March Calcutta, Manzilabad)
[The alleys were packed, ladies were wrapped in Tant sari, busy in gossip, and the umbrella covered their existence; the street was dishevelled by the rainwater. In all that, a four-wheeled carriage which was drawn by horses stopped a the threshold of the dilapidated house. I came out with a bag in hand, my countenance was covered with an ascot cap, the cigar was steaming and I went inside the house.
Upon entering the room, the odour smell surrounded existence; I inquired about the smell, but the kami Bai laughed and told me, "Sahab, you don't know or you don't want to know; what place is this?" I ignored her and placed my bag on the Pembroke table. But in all that, a voice called Kami Bai, and she left. I saw a girl, her name was Oorja De, she was peeping from the old balcony; I asked her, "How are you? Dear," She slightly bent his head and blinked her Great eyes. In all that, a voice called her, and she again turned herself, and my face was facing her back.
She asked, "What?" That person asked about her Bimru, and she said in a tone which was accentuated by the giggling "Kya gadhe bhi khalihaan mein rehte hain?"[Do donkeys also live in the barn?] The man said, "Agar tum jesi chiriya pinjare mein rehti hain toh, gadhe kyu nhi. Wase mere paas waqt nhi hai jaldi baatao" ["If birds like you live in a cage, then why not donkeys? I don't have time, tell me quickly."] She instructed him in sign language. Before the man left, he turned and said, "Bindi la gaya karo tum par acha lagta hai" [You should wear a bindi; it looks good on you.]
In all that, the sound of a gunshot echoed in the infamous area of Calcutta Sonagachi, I and my worker ran to save our lives.
This much I remember, about that of 1780 when I visited the infamous place, and why you are too curious about that years. Mr Prayambad, It's 1786, man.]
The whole scenario Mr Bakshi narrated to the young and curious writer Prayambad. [Mr Bakshi was a philanthropist who always wanted to save girls from this cruel world after losing his daughter] After listening to the whole scenario he demonstrated his gratitude and left the place.
Prayambad and his friend decided to visit the Infamous area called Sonagachi.
