After the café incident, Beomgyu and Yeonjun hadn't talked much. However, Beomgyu felt he had gotten closer to Yeonjun because of Hyunjin, and Yeonjun had started bullying him a bit less, like just a b—
"Look who we have here," Yeonjun's voice interrupted his thoughts. Okay, Beomgyu had spoken too soon.
"Where is your boyfriend?" Yeonjun sneered.
"Changbin, you forgot that Beomgyu likes him, not Hyunjin," someone chimed in.
"Hyunjin would NEVER like him," another voice added.
"Yeah, Hyunjin is already dating the pretty girl named Bomi."
"Hey guys," Hyunjin appeared out of nowhere, making everyone freeze.
"Oh, hi," Beomgyu greeted awkwardly.
"Uh, we were supposed to work together. If you could come and help me," Hyunjin said.
Beomgyu knew Hyunjin had a group project with Changbin, so they had to work together.
"Fine, let's go," Hyunjin saved Beomgyu, though it seemed coincidental. But then Hyunjin winked at Beomgyu before walking away. Hyunjin probably found out about the bullying somehow, and Beomgyu got lucky today because Yeonjun never bullied anyone alone.
At Lunch
"Hey Beomgyu, are you bored?" Hyunjin asked, looking for some distraction.
"Um, yeah."
"Well, let's message random numbers!"
"What! That's dangerous."
"Whaaattt? No, it's not!"
"It is. I don't wanna do it."
"Youuu haveee toooooo, plllleeeeaaaasseeee."
"Nooooooo."
"Please, only once. Please, you are my friend, right!?"
Beomgyu thought for a while. Should he do this? He could randomly text a mafia or something, who might get annoyed and kill him. Shit, he should stop watching fanfictions. Well, nothing could go wrong, could it?
"Fineeeee."
"YAAYYY! Let's try 987-654-321!"
"Ummmm, I don't think someone would have a number like that."
"There must be someone! C'mon, you message!"
"Wait, why me?!"
"Please, my mom checks my phone and I don't think she would approve of me talking to strangers."
"Your mom still checks your phone?"
"Umm, yeah." Hyunjin's mom didn't check his phone, but she did find out if he made new contacts for some reason.
"Fine."
Beomgyu took out his phone and added the number. He looked over at Hyunjin, who was already staring at him.
"Can I write 'hi'?"
"Whattt? Nooooo. Write 'hiiiiiiiii'."
"What? Why?"
"C'mon, please."
"Fine."
Beomgyu wrote 'hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii' (it was initially 'hiiiiiii' but Hyunjin insisted on adding more I's) and clicked send. Suddenly he felt very nervous. What if it was somebody he knew? Shit.
Messages:
Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
Umm hey
Do I know you?
Damn, they replied fast. Beomgyu was about to write 'maybe,' because who knows, maybe he knew them! But then Hyunjin snatched the phone from him and started typing aggressively. After 10 minutes of intense begging and requesting, Hyunjin handed the phone back and dramatically said, "I need to go, Beomgyu. Duty calls! Cya!" and just ran away. Beomgyu looked over at the texts and nearly fainted. What did the dude write?
