As Kira steadied herself, she took a deep breath and answered the call. Her sister's voice trembled on the other end, conveying urgency and concern. "Kira, it's Mom. She was here, and I found a note saying I was going to find him; don't worry. Kira I am confused. Who is she going to find? I'm so worried."

Kira's heart sank. The realization hit her like a ton of bricks. Her mother, battling both memory loss and a brain tumour, had wandered off in a confused state. With tears streaming down her face, Kira relayed the news to Carson and Thomas, who listened with grave expressions.

Without a moment's hesitation, Carson took charge. "We need to find her," he said firmly, his gaze unwavering. "Kira, Thomas, we're all in this together. Let's go."

They rushed back to their vehicles, their minds focused on one mission: locating Kira's mother before it was too late. With Carson's quick thinking, they divided the area and started searching, combing through streets and alleys, calling out her mother's name.

As they searched, Kira's thoughts were a jumble of fear and determination. She couldn't bear the thought of her mother alone and vulnerable, yet she knew they had to find her swiftly. With every passing moment, the weight of uncertainty pressed down on her shoulders.

After an hour of unsuccessfully finding Kira's phone, it rang again, her heart sinking. She picked up the call; it was from a police station. The officer from the other side of the call said
"Are you missing Kira?"
Kira said, "Yes, who is this?"
The officer replied, "Miss Kira, your mother is here at the police station. Could you come pick her up from here?"
Kira replied, "Thank you, officer. Thank you. We will be there as soon as possible. Please don't let her go."

Carson heard Kira and said, "Did someone find her? Is she okay?"
Kira replied, "She is at the police station; hurry, let's go."

They drove to the police station but were confused all the way about why she was at the station and a lot more. As they reached the police station, Kira rushed inside and hugged her mother.

Her mother looked at her and said, "Jane, is that really you, dear? I am so sorry I left you behind; I shouldn't have left you," and she started crying happy tears. But Kira was confused, yet seeing her mother's condition, she didn't say anything.
They took her to the car to get back to the hospital. Her mother slept on the way back. Kira called her sister and informed her that their mother was alright.

They reached the hospital, and the hospital staff took her mother to the room. Carson was relieved that Kira finally might have felt relieved, but looking at her face, he realised that Kira looked confused, so Carson decided to ask Kira what happened.

Kira mumbled, "Who is Jane?"
Carson replied, "Wait, isn't Jain your sister? I thought your mother's memory loss made her think that you are your sister."
Kira replied, "No, my sister's name is Sally, and we don't have any relatives or friends named Jane. Who was she talking about?"

It's a relief for everyone that Kira's mother is safe, but who is this new character that brings twists to the story, who is Jane, and why did Kira's mother say sorry for leaving her? New twists and turns to the story will keep coming, but there is still one old mystery: will the love triangle of Carson, Kira, and Thomas emerge in the future? Uncover more mysteries in the next part.
