As Kira and Carson engaged in conversation, a sudden call from Kira's mother interrupted their moment. Rushing to her mother's side, Kira found her struggling to stand on her bare foot. Concern etched across her face, Kira tried to reassure her mother, but her mother's urgency couldn't be ignored. She pleaded with Kira to visit their old family home, specifically the basement, and retrieve a journal belonging to her. Additionally, she mentioned Jane again, whose presence seemed crucial. Despite Kira's attempts to downplay the situation and assure her mother's well-being, her mother's insistence struck a chord, leaving Kira with a sense of unease.

Later, when Kira's sister Sally arrived, Kira eagerly ushered her to their mother's room, the warmth of their reunion filling the space with nostalgia and comfort. However, as Kira stepped out of the room, Carson approached her, his expression filled with concern.

"Where is your old house?" he asked abruptly, his tone betraying a sense of urgency.

Puzzled by his question, Kira hesitated before replying, "Why do you ask?"

"We need to find Jane," Carson replied, his eyes conveying a depth of emotion Kira couldn't quite decipher.

Slightly taken aback, Kira insisted, "It's not that important. My mother isn't going to die, okay? She's fine. We can find Jane later. Let me look after her first."

Carson met her gaze with a sense of guilt weighing heavily on his features. "You may think it's not important right now, but sometimes it's better to fulfill someone's wish rather than focus solely on their health," he murmured before abruptly leaving, leaving Kira to contemplate his words.

The following day, a letter arrived for Kira's mother, bearing the sender's name as J. Solamon. Curiosity piqued, Kira opened the letter, revealing a bill from Nebraska accompanied by a heartfelt message. The letter said

"I know we haven't been on the same side since the last meeting but I wish you and your kids a happy life, I know Charles was your love but he is long gone to his place, Your Family still waits for you to come forward and be a part of it. You know that you are always welcome but I am not always welcome there you know the consequences. I have sent you letters since 1989 till this year every single year a letter yet not a single reply I wish you would but I know you wouldn't. Well long time no see dear but I always see you in my dreams dear. I love you and I always will.

-J. Solamon

The sender expressed longing and regret, mentioning past meetings and a love lost to time. References to family dynamics and unspoken consequences left Kira grappling with unanswered questions and a newfound sense of urgency.

Moved by the letter's contents and Carson's earlier insistence, Kira resolved to explore their old family home. With determination fueling her actions, she drove to Carson's apartment, where she shared the letter's contents and her decision to investigate further. Together, they embarked on a journey to their childhood home, the memories of yesteryears flooding their minds as they approached the familiar yet dilapidated structure.

Inside, the air was thick with dust and nostalgia, each corner holding fragments of their shared history. Making their way to the basement, Kira and Carson sifted through boxes and forgotten treasures, the weight of their quest hanging heavy in the air. Hours passed as they searched tirelessly, the journal they sought eluding them at every turn.

Just as frustration threatened to overtake them, Kira's fingers brushed against something soft and weathered. Pulling it from the depths of a forgotten corner, she uncovered the journal, its pages yellowed with age and dust-covered. With trembling hands, she opened it, each page revealing snippets of their family's past and the mysterious presence of Jane.

Finally, amidst the faded ink and whispered secrets, they found a mention of Jane, her significance slowly unraveling before their eyes. As they pieced together the puzzle of their mother's past and J. Solamon's enigmatic letter, the answers they sought seemed within reach, promising closure and understanding.

Yet, even as they delved deeper into the mysteries that surrounded them, new questions arose, leaving them to wonder about the complexities of family ties and the weight of unspoken truths. And so, their journey continued, fueled by a relentless pursuit of answers and the bonds that tethered them together in the face of uncertainty....
