Movie night Chapter 6

Camila's pov

Camila: hey do you want to go to the movies tonight, we can see divergent
Lauren: I'd love to. But what time.
Camila: 9:00 but we would leave at like 8:30.
Lauren: ok, who would bring us me or you.
Camila: me I have a Dodge Charger
Lauren: ok pick me up at 8:30. I'll be ready.

I dialed my dad's number to tell him I'm taking my friend out to the movies. He is always busy at work so I just left a message. I wasn't sure if I wanted to tell my parents about camila. I mean they hated it when I had a boyfriend. And I was for sure NO WAY going to tell Dinah or normani. If they hear I was dating a GIRL they would make sure I would have no friends.

I don't even understand, don't people notice love is love. So who cares if I have a girlfriend.

Camila: I'm outside your house, 98 Stratford street right?
Lauren: I see you I'll be out

Lauren's Pov
I seen my phone light up, in the screen I seen unseen message from camz. I unlocked my phone and looked at it.
Camila: I'm outside your house, 98 Stratford street right?

I went over to my window and opened the curtains and looked out the window. I seen a silver Dodge Charger in my drive way. I entered in and sent

Lauren: I'll see you I'll be out.

I walked out my room and closed my door. And shouted to my mom
"Going to the movies be back soon." And then shortly after she gave me a little talk I walked outside and into the passenger seat of camilas car.

It was very nice. I wish I could afford something this nice.

"So how's life?" Camila asked

"Nice, I'm guessing you have nothing else to say". I said with a short giggle at the end.

"Well I was going to ask if you seen the first divergent. But that would have been stupid because you wouldn't be go seeing the second one if you haven't...." I cut her off.

"Okay there's one thing that bothers me a lot and that's when people explain this to me but make it confusing."

"Hahaha, sorry."

"Well it's fine now you know."

When we arrived to the movie theater, we went in line to get our tickets. Then to the snack line.
"How about I pay for the snacks and you get the seats so when we get in there it won't be crowded?"
I almost felt like camila asked that because she didn't want me to pay for myself.
"Yeah, here" I passed her a 20 dollar bill, " just get me a iced tea and a popcorn and for a snack id like some twizzlers." I said that waiting to see camilas response on how she will pay for the food but instead something completely different happens.

"Okay I will see you in the...."

"Camila? Don't tell me you've been hanging out with her. Is that why you haven't been answering our phone calls?"
I was shocked. It was Dinah. And behind her was Normani.

"I didn't know you called and I thought I should be nice and take her to the movies. "

"Really?" Normani said with plenty of attitude. "Or is it because your on a date with her."

I didn't like seeing Camila get picked on like this. Her "friends" seemed really controlling, so I stepped in before Camila could say something.

"Can't she have friends that are gay without you two criticizing? Do you really care that you have to pick on her? I find it really rude how you two are picking on her. It's not fair. How would you like it if your two "friends", I said using my fingers as quotes, "were picking on you for hanging out with someone that isn't them. Well guess what, if that's how you feel about this keep your thoughts too yourself and your mouth closed, I'll see you in the movie camila." I stormed out the room with fear. I could feel my face burning up and getting red.

Camilas Pov
When I seen Lauren storm out the line and into the theater I turned around to see Normani and Dinha standing there waiting to say something.

"Let's go Normai, we don't have time to deal with are ex friend whom likes girls." Dinah said trying to make me feel bad.

I didn't know why they were so angry. They always have there new friends. So why couldn't I have mine.

Sometimes I think this because they can be really controlling and I always follow there rules.

I walked in the movie theater just on time. I looked around to find Lauren. But I couldn't. It was very dark and many seats. I looked far over in the crowd and saw her waving.

"Here's your food." I softly said trying not to disturb anyone, glazing in her eyes.

"Yea thanks" she said.

We didn't talk another's time threw the movie. I felt as if she was pissed off at me be sis of my friends. I barley even payed attention to the movie because I was to worried if Lauren would ever talk to me again. The only thought that was going through my head was id she was going to break up with me.
